Dead Skirts was originally intended as a discussion forum with little in the way of pictures and clips from set pictures, movies and private flicks. OK it did include a lot more over the years, but it was always intended from the off to be 'discussion heavy' with also a detailed section for people to post up stories and writings for everyone to read in peace.

We all have an investment in our favorite board. We go to that one first, and then sometimes check the others. But that's dependent on the idea that everyone posts their interesting content and comments on that one board.

For a while now, the FF board has not been the first choice of most people, including me, I think.

But, if we all agreed to post our stuff here quickly, every time, after a while, this would become the "go to" board, without any of the complications.

As for the comment about the producers getting traffic from DS, that's just another manifestation of where people go first. If everyone starts looking for producer posts here, this board will be the one that delivers the traffic. This is what makes sense to me, so I'm committing to a "post here first and every time" policy from now on.

This isn't a slap at Geno. As someone else mentioned, he's basically harmless most of the time. But right now, all the people who visited his board and bought clips, etc, are floating in the ether. I'd love to think they will land here. It's got everything that DS had, and some extra features.

FF has always been an awesome place, and I agree Tommy, there is so much here for folks in our community to enjoy. It's peaceful, sexy and welcoming.

This is a great board, no doubt about it. We’re a pretty small niche in the scope of things, so we kind of have to stick together. I had been more of a liker since the earlly 2000’s, then kind of had an epiphany a couple of years ago to be more expressive and creative. But I will give this forum more of the attention it deserves moving forward. If DS gets back on it’s feet I will take into account it’s volatile condition when posting there.

THe problem is that there is so much good, no unique material on DS going back to 2005 that doesn't exist anywhere else, at least publically.

I was going to contact Hostgator to see about anteing up the site fee for awhile just to keep DS afloat.
But I see from the first few responses in this message string that it won't work - so thanks! My question is answered.
The Producers section at this site is where I obtain the pictures that I post for Olaf's Amazon Warriors promotions.
So Olaf, for one, must be getting traffic from this board or he wouldn't go to the trouble.

Well after reading replies and my own experiences with DS I feel one "part" the reason
why some folks don't stay here to hang out is
I believe it's "FEAR" of being kicked off DS by Geno!
I really believe that's how Geno operates, through fear and intimidation tactics.
So I hope most the Death-Fetish community wakes up to this and sees that DS is not the only
"Night Club" in town.

I just want to extend an invitation to everyone to visit Amazon Warriors Fans also. It was never intended to be everything that Geno and Blue brought to this community, so I don”t sense it inappropriate at this time. It is unapologetically partisan, but if you are a fan of Olaf’s work you might like the dialogue. Even if not, I would like to think you would feel comfortable discussing your tastes among friends.

By the way, Geno is a member here. So, hopefully, he will post us an update himself as to the future of DeadSkirts.

That's probably because you were never banned from the site for weeks on a whim over minutia, or had your posts hijacked by him, re-titled and shuffled around to manipulate the context, or directly altered to make it appear you said sexist things against fellow members. The last time he tried that shit, I promised him I would never return to DS unless he admitted to his chicanery and apologized. He did neither. That was March 2017. I haven't returned there since.

I wish no personal ills against Geno, especially regarding his health, but if DS is gone permanently, all I can say is, "no loss." It was an outdated MB a decade ago. Members will find other, better places.

I can relate about having posts hijacked. He did it to me once by fabricating an argument in one of mine, quoted me as having written it, and then tried calling me out on it. The thread was one of many discussions about the prevalence of porn in the market. I stopped visiting for five years afterward. I only returned about a year ago because I missed seeing people there who don't hang out here or on FN.

Geno loves conflict and has a long history of inciting flame wars, even going so far, as evidenced by yours and my experiences, to alter peoples' posts.

I agree.

No, but I came close. I know exactly what you are talking about. I started a thread about deep fakes. I don’t know how to make them, and I am not interested in how they might be used to sabotage someone. I was simply making the point that they were Interesting and had potential for creating material for personal use. I like to experiment with media, so naturally I wondered if some day we could entertain the likeness of Charlize Theron or Scarlet Johanssen in a hot DS scene. The post generated a pretty good discussion on topic when Geno noticed it was starting to expand and jumped in. He immediately tried to paint me as some kind of provocateur intent on blackmailing celebrities Or something. It quickly turned in to “that discussion”, and I knew what “that” meant. No matter what I said it was leading to one of Geno’s timeout sessions (he calls them vacations). I had seen it many times before. An innocent poster with a topic that interested them gains some traction with the type of discussion we all seek out of these boards, then Geno notices all the replies and starts in on the original poster for reasons noone can understand. I have no idea why he does it, but I just stopped my deep fake discussion right then. It was not worth it to get all bent out of shape because you cannot fight city hall.

That said, I still like Geno. In emails he is very cordial and helpful. Users cannot add an avatar, but he helped me with my Walter White. He helped me understand some things about bbcode, and we had some good conversations about DS in general. He could be a different animal on the board and I learned to accept that. Maybe he felt he had to be to maintain “order”. I understand how those of us who embrace the concept of free speech and freedom (almost all of us I would guess) finds some of his behavior insufferable. But I believe he is a good man underneath the gruff, and he is within his rights to make DS whatever he wants it to be. Just don’t expect a democracy.

Well, I kind of miss deadskirts.com since it was my first fetish board I was visiting every single night for the last 15 years (?) or at least as long as day 0. But I can find interesting stuff in here too. Everything that was published on Deadskirts.com is published here too. I will make femmefatalities my primary DS board from now on and fetnoir.com also. It has some very interesting stuff that I cannot find in any other fetish boards.
PS. I hope Geno get's well and reopens Deadskirts.com

This seems to be the longest I noticed DS to be down for.
Anybody heard anything new with DS's situation?

Dave Prince (Asphyxfan) is poised to take over the site and keep payments going to get it back up, but Hostgator won't let him. He has, however, brought up all of the associated (dormant) domain names.
