G-Man's Death Scene Hunter Essentials Guide

Post by G-Man »

Hi Folks
I have been wanting to post some kind of Death Scene Video Hunting Guide for some time now.
So without any further delay below are the tools and techniques I use and learned over the years
in finding good female death scenes.
I know most of you already know most of this stuff...
but I thought I could help some of the newer rookies.
Thanks, G

First thing one needs before heading out on your hunting trip is having these essential tools.
They are...

GOOGLE (or Bing)
CINEMOURGE
IMDB
LETTERBOX
YouTube & Dailymoton
Video Streaming Sites & Video Producers

GOOGLE
I use google almost 99% of the time and of course its a "No Brainer"
(if you feel more comfortable with another search engine that's fine)
It is obviously easy to use... just type in a title of a movie your looking for and it usually comes up
instantly it gives you initial choices of... Info on Film, Shopping, Videos, Images

IMDB
Is another "No Brainer" tool to use.
With IMDB you can learn a lot about the film and it suggests other films that are similar.
It usually mentions if a film has different type of releases, IE... cut un-cut versions, American
or Europian versions exc, exc.

TIP ALERT one powerful thing one needs to know!!! When it is a foreign film it usually has the original
title just below the title in smaller letters, plus further down the page under "Details: Also Known As"...
it will usually list the title's name in a bunch of other countries.
This can help you a lot when searching for the movie on YouTube!!!
Because you can find the movie (sometimes even a better copy) under a different country release.
(I.E. German, French, Spanish, Greek or Russian to name a few)
Again the IMDB is a essential tool.

CINEMORGUE
First and foremost I can not say more... Cinemorgue will always be your best tool in the box!!!
Creator Deman deserves unlimited thanks from all of us for posting this site!!!

LETTERBOX
The site Letterbox.com like IMDB is a treasure chest of info for the video hunter.
Here you can search themes like these two especially...
Every Horror Film Made from 1895 to Present
150 Top Giallo Movies lists,
Various Gory-Bloody Movie lists

YouTube and Dailymotion
These two seem to be the larger video sharing sites.
With YouTube by far the biggest and best at this time.
YouTube is the most user friendly and easy to set up accounts
When searching on these sites usually they add other suggested titles (and usually the same theme)
alongside the one you are currently watching.
Witch makes it fun if you just want to go "Freelance Searching"

TIP ALERT Most of the time you can load YT or Dailymotion videos onto your VLC Player and make
stills and a lot of times record clips.

TIP ALERT VLC player will also play "MOST" Region 2 DVD's

Video Streaming Sites & Video Producers / Video Sites
Search on video streaming sites like Amazon Prime Video & Netflix
TIP ALERT With a external HDMI Video capture card/device one can record a wealth of film clips from these
video streaming sites.(I got mine on Amazon)

As for video producers & sites... there are a fair number out there like... Vinegar Syndrome, Diabolical,
Mondo Macabro, Code Red and Severin
to name a few.
At these places you can find a lot of stuff you may not be able to find anywhere else.

G-Man, this is super! Just what a new "hunter" needs...!

But where do you get all these great Blu-Ray DVDs on titles that seem to be completely out of print? Can't thank you enough for all of that.

Well TG they're are many, many main retailers who sell Blu-Ray's & DVD's on line.
I.E. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Barnes & Noble and Target to name a few.

However... most of the stuff we like you need to go to places that specialize in these kind of movies...

WIP movies (Women In Prison)
Sleazy Horror Movies (sleazier the better)
Women Exploitation
B Action Movies
Spaghetti Westerns
Asian action/exploitation
Euro-Trash
B Sci-Fi / Fantasy
B War Movies

So here is a list of some sites one can go to find this all this kind of good stuff...

Vinegar Syndrome

Mondo Macabro

Diabolik

Rare Movie Collector

Grindhouse Video

E-Bay

Hope this helps...

Hi Folks,
I posted this helpful thread about year ago and just recently I noticed fellow member
Lord Hades is also
another one of your very skilled and well seasoned video/movie scene hunters who applies expert scene
search techniques.
I have QUOTED his very informative and helpful comments below...

Lord Hades wrote: Mon Oct 04, 2021 5:22 pm Here are the sites I use.

I use these to hunt down movies with scenes. I like it when I find scenes in the first two because I instantly know what I'm getting into. For imdb there are thousands of hits for "woman shot" or "woman shot in the head" so I have to filter more. But people aren't very specific most of the time, so filtering doesn't work well there. I've searched for other sites, but I can't find any as good as these. I usually do a google search with site:website.com "woman * shot" or something like that. You can change the keywords and use the * as a wildcard to get words in between.
celebritymoviearchive.com
mrskin.com
imdb.com -> the parent's guide or keywords
fandom.cinemorgue.com -> caveat, you can't filter out men and add other filters for things like nudity, headshots, and so on. Plus they only do very popular shows and movies. Once you start hunting unusual places like independent or foreign films, they are blank.

For finding clips I use these sites. For something popular, you've got better than a 50/50 shot of finding them here, but you have to know the movie name or the actress. You can't search descriptions. Even if the woman gets an axe in her head after being screwed from one end of the cabin to the other (see Polar on Netflix, it's on these sites too), they won't tag it with "death" or "axe" or anything like that. I suspect these sites are an untapped gold mine, because I have found plenty of DS scenes already once I know the movie name or actress name, but the only way to search is to sort by upload date and systematically click on the movies that look violent, which is not realistic.
aznude.com
ancensored.com
celebsnudeworld.com

Also, when you can't find them there, you can do a google video search on the movie name, year, and sometimes the producer name for independent films, set the filter to 20+ minutes, and sometimes you'll find it streaming somewhere like tubitv.
