Mum and Dad is toted as the "best UK horror of the last decade."
To be honest, I would not argue with that. It begins with some youngsters who work at Heathrow airport as night cleaners.
One of their number, a young Polish immigrant (girl), is befrended by an English girl and her weird, quiet brother. The Polish girl misses her bus back to town, and accepts an offer of a bed with her new friends who live with their Mum and Dad very near the airport. Then things get very strange!
If you like graphic horror, and torture this is for you. In one scene a thick knitting needle is pushed through the skin of the girls belly like an oversized piercing. No more spoilers, just to say that there is a lot of gore, sharp object deaths and great SFX. The actors pull it off well, and do not ham it at all. The dvd includes a making of which would be of interest to those people who want to make low budget films.
Check it out, well worth the money.
