Hold down the Shift key and press the 'Print Screen' key. This will put the screenshot onto your clipboard. Then, paste from the clipboard to a graphics or paint program.

Or, if you are using the later Windows, you can use: all programs >accessories > snipping tool, which enables you to select what part of the screen you want to capture.

Or you can use a free program like PhotoScape, which also happens to be an excellent, multi-function photo editor.
