HOW TO ATTACH IMAGES TO YOUR POSTS

IMAGE POSTING RULES: (1) For illustration purposes, one to three images may be attached to any post in any forum. (2) Large series of images should only be posted in the Video & Image Share Forum. The exception being screen caps in the Candid Video & Movie Reviews forum. (3) Full-frontal nudity and x-rated images must be posted in the Video & Image Share Forum, which is closed to non-members.

IMAGE REQUIREMENTS: (1) The maximum single-image file size is 225kb. Larger files will not upload. (2) Preferably, image widths should not exceed 778 pixels (approximately 8 inches). When necessary, wider images can be posted, provided their file sizes do not exceed 225kb. (MS Paint can be used to reduce an image's physical width, and or digitally compress it to reduce its file size.)

How To Attach An Image From Your Computer:
1. Create a new post or reply as previously described
2. Click BROWSE, found under the blue bar marked "Upload Attachment"
3. In the box that opens, click on the folder where the image is stored (My Pictures, etc.)
4. Find and click on the image (But the first image selected will appear last, so, if you're posting a series of images, upload them in reverse order to how you want them to appear in the post)
5. Click ADD THE FILE
6. Repeat the previous four steps to attach additional images up to a maximum of three per post
7. Click PREVIEW to make any text or attachment changes
8. Click SUBMIT

How To Attach An Image That Is On A Public Area Of The Internet:
1. Create a new post or reply as previously described
2. Click the 'Img' button along the top of the text box. This will insert the following into your post:
3. Cut and paste the url of the image in between [img]and[/img]. The url can be found by right-clicking on the image, and choosing properties. Copy and paste the url (address) from this property box.
4. Once the image url has been added, complete composing the rest of your post
5. Click PREVIEW and make any required changes
6. Click SUBMIT

Thanks to the recent FF systems upgrade, the maximum image file size now is 256 KB.

Thanks to Blue's gift of a robust new dedicated server for FF, there no longer is a restriction on the file sizes of posted images. However please be sensible about using this new freedom. The new server's uploader is very fast, but many members' internet connections aren't. Avoid posting image files larger than 1MB.

Also, images should have a maximum width of 778 pixels (approximately 8 inches). The exceptions being images intended as full-screen desktop wallpapers, and those intended as the working images for maximum-resolution photo-manipulations. If you want to contribute many images larger than 1MB, or wider than the FF standard width of 778 pixels, upload them to a file sharing site like MediaFire which members can easily access.

All other image posting regulations remain in effect.

Because of recent FF server upgrades you can now attach up to
13 images to a post or post reply. (The old limit had been 3 per
post or reply.) All other image posting rules remain in effect.

There no longer is a restriction on image widths, which had been
778 pixels (approximately 8 inches). The FF board's new configuration
automatically downsizes wider images to fit the available viewing
space. However, when you download an image, it appears on your
computer at its full width.
