GOM FEATURES & SHORTCUTS GUIDE

Here is an updated and expanded version of the GOM Keyboard Shortcuts
Guide posted in the VIDEO PLAYERS thread. For easy continued reference

GOM KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS & SCREEN CAPTURE SETUP

FULL SCREEN:
>To engage and disengage full screen, press "ENTER"

IMAGE CONTROLS:
>To brighten screen image, press "R"
>To darken screen image, press "E"
>To increase contrast, press "Y"
>To decrease contrast, press "T"
>To simultaneously increase brightness & contrast, press "W"
>To increase color saturation, press "I"
>To decrease color saturation, press "U"
>To alter the color balance, press "O" or "P"
>To return all of the above to their default settings, press "Q"
NOTE: image changes will carry over to screen caps. Also, if you do not
press "Q" when finished viewing, image changes will carry over to your
next video.

ZOOM:
>To zoom in, press + in the numbers keypad
>To zoom out, press - in the numbers keypad
NOTE: zoom settings do not affect the size or content of screen caps.

FAST FORWARD & REVERSE:
>To move forward 10 seconds, press the right-arrow key; hold down for fast forward
>To reverse 10 seconds, press the left-arrow key; hold down for fast reverse

PAUSE, FRAME ADVANCE & REVERSE:
>To pause a video or audio file, press the spacer bar. Press again to restart.
>To advance one frame at a time, press Ctrl & the period key
>To reverse one frame at a time, press Ctrl & the comma key

RESTART:
>To return a video or audio file to its starting point, press "BACKSPACE"

SLOW & FAST MOTION:
>To engage variable slow motion, press "X"
>To engage variable fast motion, press "C"
>To return to normal speed, press "Z"

AUDIO:
>To increase volume, press the up-arrow key
>To decrease volume, press the down-arrow key
>To mute, press "M." Press again to restart audio

PLAYLISTS:
>To create a video or audio playlist, press "F8"

CUSTOMIZING & PERSONAL PREFERENCES:
>To access customizing and personal preference features, press "F5"

MAXIMUM RESOLUTION SCREEN CAP SETUP:
>Open the GOM player with or without a loaded video.
>Click the middle button located in the lower right-hand corner of the functions bar'
or press "F7"
>In the small control panel that opens, click "Video," then click "Advanced Capture."
>In the box that opens, set "Image Format" to JPEG
>Set "JPEG Quality" to 255 (maximum)
>Click "Change Directory" to select where you want your screen caps to be stored.
If you do not do this GOM will create its own folder.
>Close the box
>Done. You won't need to do this again.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
Many additional GOM features like aspect ratio correction,
repeat play, A-B play, audio capture, auto memory, auto
shutoff, etcetera, can be accessed by right-clicking on the
GOM Player's screen area
