Rue Morgue Classics

Hank Samuels and I have been looking for a way of re-releasing some of the best of the Rue Morgue pieces that have been out of circulation for some time. He has been the ultimate master of strangling, hanging, and "meat hunter" films for a long time. He's not got much time for starting a store from scratch and keeping it going right now, but we'd like to see if there is enough interest in the material to make it worthwhile doing it together. So, we are going to release a "Rue Morgue Classic" in my GumRoad store each week or so.
The first one will be Tiffany Adams' great performance as one of the victims of the
"The Necktie Strangler..."

Not a surprise, Smudge... Your hot buttons are consistent! But, there is certainly a community of folks who enjoy stranglings, and Hank did a great job of keeping the victims in distress with no bottoms on, so that all their charms were on display. A few folks have opted in already. I'm getting the next clip ready to add.
In the meantime, I'm editing my next shooting clip, just for you...

I'm VERY excited to hear this! There are some old Rue Morgue films that I have been trying to get my hands on for YEARS!

I for one am very interested in the "hunting" movies especially, glad to see these movies finding a new audience and life, appreciate the effort you are making to do it.

Thanks for the feedback, guys...
There is a bunch of work in opening a new store and keeping everything straight, but if the first few offerings find a market, then it would seem to be worth it.
I'll keep you advised, and if there is anything in specific you'd like to see, let me know and I'll work with Hank to make it available.

Hank is culling and re-mastering the best ones. We agreed that a lot changed in technology, tastes and expectations from Rue's early days. There were a lot of learning curves going on in the special effects and the story lines. So he's not just dumping everything in to this pot. He'll re-master each one selected, because of it's quality and erotic effect, to bring it up to 2022 standards.

Of course there is. JohnM tried to do the same thing with Rue's old vids a year or two ago (He and Hank were once business partners and ran Ruemorgue together). My understanding is that Hank had him put the kibosh on the project.
I stilll applaud the idea, but your team-up sounds likes Hank learned John was profiting from the re-masters he did, wants a slice for himself, and needs your help running the store.

You're exactly right, Nyghtfall...
Part of the problem they had was that they had to use NicheClips, which effectively took 65% of all the revenues. So, when John got a piece for his efforts (justified), and Hank was doing a lot of the background prep, it just wasn't worth the effort.
We're going to work this for a couple of months and see what the results are. Hopefully, enough folks never saw the original work and will find this collection to be new and satisfying enough to make it worth the time and energy required to do it. Hank always did a heck of a job with the material!

Welp, thanks for clarifying. I'll keep an eye out for the few titles I own and would like to see upgraded.
BTW - Does Tiffany's necktie strangle start with the killer behind her when she wakes up? The shot of him holding it taut from the side of the jazuzzi is turning me off. I may try a more personalized, cinematic edit and remove that sequence if I buy a copy.

Hannah's a very elegant lady... And she's horny. So she starts to get herself off in her fur coat. But the Strangler has other ideas. He wraps a cord around her neck as she is at a high point in her efforts, and the pressure turns erotic for her. But ultimately, it's too much. The Strangler undresses the body and displays it on a chair. The cops come later and take the body to Hank's morgue where he does appropriate detective work to confirm that it's the Southside Strangler's M/O.
