While he is making sure that producers such as Paul KHP and myself get praised for our efforts the rest of you need to know something about Blue:
He has been hosting my films for PPV at no additional charge.
I am getting the same rate that he himself is charged by his merchant service.
This is HUGE because it allows me to pass that savings on to my fans.
That is why even my new films with more than one actress are priced at $12.00.
Blue has made it so that I can afford to offer a lower price.
Blue has also offered support in terms of marketing and packaging of my films (which are usually pretty naughty and scandalous looking
) in a manner that works for his ad format. Blue is a producer himself and could just as easily turn around and say "Screw that Dalila bitch! We make the same types of films and I am not going to help her!"
But he doesn't.
His approach is exactly the opposite.
He has worked to make this a site that is friendly to all producers, even his direct competition, so that we all do better and we all get a chance to communicate with our fans, post pictures, have debates about industry related topics, and have a good deal of fun.
A few months ago on DS I pointed out Geno's strengths: Namely that he works hard to run a consumer/fan oriented site that offers free material and creates much excitement about the genre on the whole.
That caused me to suffer some backlash because Geno is controversial as a rule of marketing. He believes that his "bad guy" role playing makes his site bigger, and perhaps that is true.
I am going to assume however that my priase of Blue and what he is doing to create a producer friendly forum will NOT create backlash.
I am very grateful to him, and I hope many of the rest of you will give him the praise he deserves.
I know that he has also banned a few people recently and I am not a fan of banning because I don't agree with it as a general policy.
I am on very good terms with two of those banned people, namely Geno and Penn Paul. I plan to continue to work with them. Blue knows this and respects my decision.
This is not however the award for "Necro Saint". Blue is entitled to get angry at behavior and comments made on his site while at the same time offering a place for producers to go and market their films.
