My computer crashed last week.
Good news is... I just got a new one.

The bad news is... I lost everything on my old one

Oh well life goes on.

Just encrypt the external hard drive with the easy to use and free Truecrypt, choose a good password and you're safe! If someone finds the external harddrive (and if he's no truecrypt expert) his computer will tell him that the drive is not formatted and that he will have to fomat it before useG-Man wrote:... I have created a self signed certificate, and I use that as a key file AND a password. The downside... If I lose this certificate for whatever reason, I cannot get access to my files. Since the cer file is only 563bytes, it can be saved anywhere and not have a huge impact.doro666 wrote:Just encrypt the external hard drive with the easy to use and free Truecrypt, choose a good password and you're safe!
