Well, I'm glad I at least got a good night's sleep. I'm not sure that anyone else in this room has. Let me explain something about free speech here...

Free speech is not an excuse to be uncivil. Angers, however, often run high on this and other boards, and statements are often made in the heat of the 'discussion'. Name-calling takes place when angers flare. It has been my policy not to intercede in a discussion thread, unless it steps over the line, like Geno's famous flame post did. It is up to all parties to ensure that they don't cross that line.

A peace of advice. When people start trading insults, which devolves into name-calling, it is time to step back, take a deep breath, and either push the ignore button on the 'Foe' list, or learn how to diffuse a situation. It's very simple. I've done it many times recently on DS. One simply posts something such as, "I'm sorry for tearing into _____ so badly, but he/she really ticked me off. I still stand by my position on the _____ issue. You can disagree with me all you want, but I stand by my remarks."

Now, free speech is what you make of it. If you want to use it to cyber-yell at each other, that's fine, others can simply leave the room. If you want to joke around, be my guest, I do it all the time. I don't get along well with people who don't have a sense of humour, because in real life (ya, right to someone's face in RL) I have been termed the king of sarcasm. So, don't expect me not to be myself around these parts.

We're all adults here. We all have equal rights to be here. Let's kindly use our free speech rights in a calm and mature fashion. I mean we're not talking politics or religion here. So, why can we all not act like we would if we were meeting in person, which means biting our tongues, as long as it's not until we draw blood So, I will still be sarcastic at times, but, if I ever hurt anyone's feelings, just let me know, and you know what? I will apologize, because I never want to hurt anyone in this wonderful community of ours. (Yes, I have apologized to Geno, in case anyone is wondering. Ok, I'll do it again. I am sorry that I had to ban you from FF, Geno, I hope you can forgive me, but I have to stand by my decision.)

Believe it or not I have the sharpest tongue in our community (just ask Geno) but I vowed to use it only when really needed.

What happened my dear friend was that it was about 4:30 am central USA and I had been awake for a long time. For some reason, my spell checker did not have the word fecicious in it. I was not paying attention, and allowed the spell checker to spell the word phonetically(the way it sounds). I just did another spell check and, yep, I confirmed that the word fecicious is not in the spell checker. It's not in yours either I assume. But if you google it, you will find the word is legitimate.

I appreciate your attempt to humiliate me, however, it was in vain as you now see.
