Illegal freesharing becoming an BIG issue

ATTENTION!: KEEP A SHARP LOOK OUT FOR ILLEGAL FREE-SHARERS AND IMPOSTERS USING The Production Name/Nickname "JIMBO"

I want to bring something urgent to all of you fans. I've wanted to keep this under wraps but due to a couple of things I have found out in the past few minutes..its good to get it out on the open. As many of you folks know, Illegal free-sharing on illegal forums and video sites has become a huge problem on the internet to the point of ridiculousness. And by ridiculousness, I mean people going out of their way to create a phony account and use a producer or producers name or nickname and etc to upload/steal producers videos. With that being said, I was notified by MMP Studios a couple of weeks ago that someone had created account using my production nickname and post up info about this series on that forum and other forums/illegal sites as well. Well, it seems like someone or a group of people have taken it a step further to ruin and sabotage WON YouTube's reputation and to sabotage this fan film series project franchise and our partnership with MMP Studios and other networks as well. As of now, I have been banned by a 2 forums that I promote this series at because of this imposter. It is very irritating to realize that someone has taken your identity/nickname and private internet info in attempt to ruin your reputation..and in worst case scenario have you banned in some places. This isn't the first time someone has used my name and hack into my private internet info...Nevertheless..it is very, very upsetting. Now, as you all know...some of the series videos have been stolen and illegal free-shared on illegal forums and sites and we have taken action by filing DMCA complainant against the party and the site. Sadly, some of the sites/forums haven't taken action and haven't taken down the videos or have erased the false accounts as well. This is a trouble trend that needs to be put to an end and SOON! If any of you fans sees any of our film film installments or and WON YouTube Videos or MMP Studios Videos posted on any illegal free-share sites or forums...Please message me here on the page or you can email me @ jimbobklyn5@yahoo.com

Hi jimbobklyn5, yes this is certainly a problem, a problem that has no solution unless someone can create some tracking that's undetectable and embedded into the videos so it can be traced back to the person who brought it. But we all know whatever companies or people create there'e always a hacker out there that will crack/hack it. Talking about being banned by forums, a similar thing happened to us, one of our IP address' was cloned and was used to wreak havoc across the community which got us banned from one of the major super heroine websites. He would put up snide remakes here and there in various forums and even when we did tell the owners our account had been hacked, they didn't believe us. Never in the history of Bluestone have we criticize, belittle or pass judgment on anyone or any company in our community, people that know us, know that we have never done that.

We suspected it was someone who had and still has a website where he sold all Bluestone videos operating outside the US and the UK. It's one of those countries, and I'm not going to say which, that doesn't abide by the copyright laws, this guy was selling our videos and they were all available to download. This started off a painful take down order, but every time we took down one or all, the next week he would put them back up. We continued to do this for a very long time, now it seems he has stopped but we suspect he has gone under ground and is still selling our videos.

Illegal file sharing can't be stopped, that's why we try to make the best product we can because at the end of the day it's the only way to have a loyal following, we do go out of our way to be different from the others because having a brand that people know will insure they know what they are paying for. Also remember about 25%, maybe even more, (I'm guessing), of our fans that like our films will, if get the chance, except a free down load of one of our products if offered. As a company all we can do is just do the best we can. Yes this is a problem at this moment in time there is no solution so we'll have to live with it, all we can do is ask our very, very loyal fans to inform us of any pirated films they come across.

Bottom line make sure your product is made well, because if you build it, they will come. Wait a mo, wasn't that from a movie? :-)

Actually, the only solution to file sharing is that we stop producing videos, because we can no longer break even. I think everyone would agree that such a solution would be the worst possible outcome. So, please resist the impulse to file share, or you may soon have no new videos to enjoy. Let all producers know if you see any of their videos being traded by simply pm'ing them here. I have seriously considered stopping production unless this cancer is cut out. Continuing to lose money will soon no longer be an option.

Now, back to my vacation.

Cheers from holidayland!

That's a shame. I certainly hope you continue making videos...but you are correct. This cancer needs to be cut out.

Ditto. It's a shame how a few assholes can ruin this for everyone else. We'll report any illegal sites we see.
