That is awesome that you are still able to budget for 1-2 a week. You are helping out a lot. I know a lot of customers have cut it down to once a month or less for reason you have stated.
Taking the economy out of it, there is a constant battle to keep things new and fresh while recycling the 10 or so standard scenarios that exist based on restrictions defined by this being a fetish--mostly that the girl always ends up dead

I can imagine that after a while it looks like this: into, confrontation, death, postmortem. Then, add sex in-between and you have basically got the jist of most scenarios. What changes is plot, method of death, were and if the sex occurs and location.
I think out of all these variables, location is what creates perceptually, the most difference. Of course, many producers, because of this content, are restricted on locations. Houses, hotels and studios become the norm. I am in a studio. No matter how many hours I spend decorating a set, the 3 painted walls look the same. Luckily, it is time to paint again. :-) Some producers have the luck of having an outdoor location to use.
The $40-50 price points are rare--fortunately. I put out a video recently that was in 3 parts. It was over 110 minutes with 10 kills for $53 (combined parts) or just over $5 a kill. Psycho Thrillers just came out with a 71 minute 3 kill scenario for $35. KHP put out a 4-girl kill that was about 8 minutes long for $20--Paul has a lot of effects work to do. In these three cases, where the price may seem inconsistent with the norm, they reflect the best of what these three producers have to offer and I feel are justified in their pricing...especially to their fans.
But, I know what you mean. There are some stores that put out really expensive videos that seem to fly in the face of logic. It could be the project is very specialized, they know only a few customers are going to buy anyway, so they price it high.
Well, thanks for supporting this community. The one good thing is that there are many producers, forcing plenty of competition and lots of good values right now. Just hang in there and I am sure movies that peak your interest will start coming out more and more as the economy improves. I know I have lots of ideas for next year in anticipation of better times.
