How about paying for the video only gets you access to that video without being able to download it. If the video cant be dowloaded, it cant be shared.

vcsanks, would you be happy with just watching it but not owning it? Besides, there's website that will help you download from major sites now so it still won't be safe.

Isn't it possible to incoroporate some software 'flag' into the download, like a 'one certificate' or licence, which enables it just to be played by the one user? I've worked for some big software distributors where we put flags into the s/w licences as we sold them, so that we'd know if more than one person was trying to play it...

If you tried to secure your videos like Zen Pictures does (there is a specific player needed and you have to login to view a downloaded video), I wonder if that would help prevent piracy.

Well, this question is for BLUE, he owns this site and all the videos. Although many of Zen Pictures videos have been pirated on Youtube, so it's not much of a deterrent. I think we should start thinking about maybe creating a membership with trusted buyers. I am meeting up with Blue face to face soon and there will be changes, for the better or for the worst, who knows?

Could you maybe password protect your video releases or maybe make the licence so that they can be viewed but not t'fered or edited in any way?

Thanks for the suggestion xj900uk, but I don't think that would stop it, the question is how would we know who's the guy that file shares our stuff? It could be you for all we know, (I'm not saying it is you, I'm making that clear), yesterday we had to get rid of the full version of WA 19 on youtube, the problem is getting worst. The more popular we get the more our stuff gets pirated as I said in my previous post this could result in us losing Melanie Dunne. I'm going to sit down with Blue very soon and talk face to face with him about this problem. If anyone values our products and sees one of our video up on a forum for free please let us know. Thank you.
