Thanks for your view OOAgent, it's noted. When it comes to the decisions on this company It's down to the boss. I'm sure he'll respond.OOAgent wrote:Well in all honesty the level of response isn't that surprising.
I mean think about it this way. Buying a vid you spend maybe $30 or so for a vid, one you know the content of, one you can see a trailer for, hear details about, decide for yourself if you'll be interested... but most importantly, you can decide when to buy it.
I mean I don't have the money to buy every vid that comes out when they come out. I just bought a few that were made last year as I finally got around to having the funds to get them.
Now with this Indiego campaign... it really is an uphill battle. I mean I could contribute $100... but that would mean I wouldn't be buying any other vids for the rest of the year. And if that happens wouldn't that also send a message that the vids aren't worth making? If the vids being made now don't sell because everyone has put all their money into the Indiego campaigns it's going to make the series seem like it's not profitable... so it looks like it's going to be bad news either way.
And I don't speak for everyone, but as a longtime lurker I can speak for people like me. I like this series and it has some of the best vids, that said I have bills to pay, I have other expenses. I buy vids when I can and buy the ones I know I'll like. Making an Idiego campaign with a deadline like this and saying that if it doesn't pan out that's it... it's just a recipe for disappointment.
I mean I have a budget and 30 days isn't nearly enough to reorganize it and save enough money to make any real contributions. I mean maybe if I saved money all year, putting $20 aside, I'd have the kind of funds these campaigns would need. But 30 days so suddenly like this just isn't feasible. And that's just for ONE of these campaigns.
So I want the Supernova one... but that doesn't mean I don't want Darkwing... it doesn't mean I don't want the other possible heroines either. I just don't have the money to fund all these vids at once at such a short deadline. The previous method of the vids being made and then buying them when I have the funds is really the best way for people in my situations, I understand that may not be the best for you and the people making these, I really do.
I'm just saying... for people like me I don't think the Indiego campaigns will work for us as it just leaves too many variables. Putting so much money into something that isn't even guaranteed to happen, and the content itself isn't guaranteed. I mean for death vids I really only want strangling or neck breaking, shooting and stabbings don't really do anything for me with some rare exceptions. So even if people like me put so much money into this, we still may not get a vid that we would've bought normally.
So I dunno, maybe I'm in the minority here. I'm just saying the response I don't think is that discouraging... it's just to be expected with what's being asked and the issues with that. I mean I can imagine closer to the deadline more people will contribute, most lurkers don't want to participate unless they absolutely have too.
That said if it doesn't pan out there are other options. Raise money for a vid all year long. If you only make one crowd funded superheorine vid a year... well fine if that's what it takes. Raise the funds and once you get the money, make the vid whenever you can, I mean I don't think any of us will be that upset if there are some delays if it means we get the best vid possible.

Thanks for your feedback, OOAgent. I can understand your situation entirely, but I hope you also can understand mine. You have a budget, and so do I. I have exceeded that budget for far too long, and eventually in those situations, one reaches the breaking point. So, if you and the others can't scrape up $20 to contribute to each of the Indiegogo campaigns, then there will be a disappointing result. Only problem with your reasoning and suggestions is that, if the crowd-funding fails, there won't be any more Bluestone Superheroine Videos for you to buy next year, or for you to pick and choose amongst, except for those released up to the end of this year.OOAgent wrote:Well in all honesty the level of response isn't that surprising.

As for making them when I've collected sufficient funds, that also is not practical, and this is why. I've assembled the best team in the industry, both cast and crew. If I do not supply them with regular work they, of course, have to find work elsewhere. What I'm attempting to do is hold onto this crew and our gorgeous cast members, such as Emma G., Lynda, Krystal Red, Melody Sky, Yvonne, Melanie Dunne, Cara Swift, Lena... and the list goes on and on. If the crowd funding fails, then I'm going to change direction. I may continue to film my crime videos, or other affordable videos, but the current Bluestone Superheroine series shall be history.
I could have simply closed down shop at the end of the year without the crowd funding initiative, but I wanted to give my longtime customers and fans a chance to rescue this awesome series. If everyone just contributed $20 to each of the two Indiegogo campaigns, we should be able to meet our goal. If not, well, at least I gave it the old college try.

You superheroine videos are popular amongst the fans, Blue, but clearly not making enough cash to justify their continued existence - is it due to the Piracy websites copying and distributing without your permission (or royalties!)?

Re: Darkwing (Yvonne) Fan Club!
It is certainly in part because of piracy, but also in part it relates to the size of our community. I'm not yet convinced that we can't continue with these upscale productions. Hopefully, fans will wake up and save these productions, but it may well be that they are too well made for this small community to support. I can break even or even make money with the low cost productions that I can film 8 times faster, but then the community gets cheaper production values, and there's nothing in those budgets for expensive costumes and effects. You'll notice that other production companies are indeed cheaping out to stay in business, but their quality is suffering. I'd rather close it up on a high note than let the production quality drop and hire cheaper, less attractive and untalented actresses. Anyway, time will time as to whether or not the fans can rescue these productions by pre-payment for the videos and a fair contribution towards the costs of filming their particular fetishes.xj900uk wrote:You superheroine videos are popular amongst the fans, Blue, but clearly not making enough cash to justify their continued existence - is it due to the Piracy websites copying and distributing without your permission (or royalties!)?
