I truly enjoyed the new Teen Bat Peril version. D'Arby is beautiful and handled the fight scenes quite well. She is as spunky as her Teen Bat predecessors. Speaking of predecessors, it sounds like Sassy will not be returned based on Contractor dialogue. What about Austin Aymes as Clairvoyant? Will she return? The Bat ladies need a gorgeous "gal in the chair" for assistance. I loved Ella Arcana as Seer.
I also liked the simple costume, especially the boots and I am glad she kept them on the whole time. I am sure fight scenes are tailored around actress capability but I would have liked to see more give from D'Arby. She got in some good hits and I know folks don't buy your videos to see the ladies dominate, but she could have been a little more offensive. Her opponent really liked her throat so she could have gone after unguarded areas while both his hands were occupied. I wasn't expecting much once he was on top of her unless she could have flung her leg up and kick him in the back of his head. Also, when she was on the table getting strangled, maybe she could have given him a couple kicks...if they could be safely accomplished. Is there a dominate vs dominated ratio? 25/75? 30/70? I guess it varies based on the character and storyline/elements.
When her fighting skills were not cutting it, she should have employed more gadgetry. She had body armor and the gas glove but did not use her utility belt or a potential item from her leg holster(stun gun, perhaps?). Along the fighting back lines, she kept putting her arms down when she was getting choked/strangled. I figure when fighting for your life, you do what you can to survive and that does not seem like a good survival technique.
Speaking of fighting skills, would you consider having outweighed heroines use pressure points, throat jabs or even a chokehold? I saw the UKSG Teen Bat and saw a move I have not seen in recent videos: the villainess broke Teen Bat's arm, crippling her for the rest of the fight. Could you incorporate an arm, leg or rib breakage and have the heroine continue to fight with futility or try and drag themselves away? Either one would work.
D'Arby is a welcome addition and I hope to see more of her, with or without a mask. What about the other sidekicks she was talking about? When will they appear? I'm not sure about pre-planned costuming but how about "Wondra Girl" in a Donna Troy style outfit
and "Nova Lass" in the white shirt, blue skirt SuperGirl outfit
...just to see something different.
