Speaking of Slander, Libel...and Torts...

I understand (as someone who moved to America lately) that to get any real satisfaction in a law suit you have to prove damages regardless of whether Slander or Libel have taken place.

Now let's take myself as an example to pull back from John Matrix and Paul

Regularly when I google my name I find movies being shared for free on somone's file sharing site...Oh it's usually a well meaning fan with a nick name like "Gutsalot 75"....

Now how am I going to be able to prove damages ina court room?

Never mind that "Gutsalot 75" turns out to be the presiding judge in my case...

My only recourse in this situation is to politely ask the well meaning fan not to share my material because I make my living and finance future films on the sale iof current films in my archives.

Dennis said it best: "Showing necro material in a lawsuit would be like opening a bag of rattlesnakes in a courtroom. No judge or jury would rule in your favor."

So:

John...you are not guilty of CP and neither is Dr Don...but suing Paul or anyone else over it is not going to put one dollar in your pocket. In fact I don't think an American lawyer would touch the case...I have no idea about Canada...but in America no.

Paul...It would be very difficult for you to sue Geno or his fans over their file sharing because of the scenario I painted above...Yes you ARE getting ripped off...and so am I...but the best thing we can do is to work with the fans to support us so they can see our materila, not fight with them.

I am no lawyer...and quite frankly am no Cyberbully either...I am as Max 5 pointed out a sexpot who cannot see her toes when she looks straight down, and I would really like to go back to being just that around here so we can all think about our erotic horror fantasies instead of all of this very un-sexy stuff.

And Blue...I know you look NOTHING like the South Park Canadians.

I get the impression that a lot of folks (both here and at DS) are still pretty worked up over what has happened. Dalila has been the one consistent calming influence at both boards.

I have dealt with fans who say "Hey Dalila let's get together in RL so that I can cut your breasts." Now again...furious Mexican husband at home. I don't have much to fear with the guard dog on duty. But that type of fan is the kind of freak who should be banned.

What Geno said was a demeaning to not only you and your mother, but to Britton, Petra, me, and any actress from age 18 to 45 considering doing work for one of us. No surprise there. That is Geno's way.

I honestly believe that it is bad for business to ban this kind of person, not because I agree with his attack on you, but because it has played into his desire to control the dialogue.

What are they talking about at DS? Geno being banned. What are we talking about here? Geno being banned. That doesn't work out well for producers who need their fans to be thinking "Hey wouldn't you like to see Dalila kill all of those young 20 something girls that Blue
hires" or "How about a Dalila versus Petra versus Britton gun fight, Spaghetti Western Style!"

So Yes as a rule I disagree with the life time ban on anyone, but I still respect waht you do, and totally understand why you would want a Geno free enviornment after all of this drama.

I want to see the dialogue here and at DS go back to what is should be...Sexy death fetish.

What do I think of the long suffering Blue? It must have been an agonizing decision for him to ban Geno, but he did it and I respect the decision though I would have gone a different direction: One that welcomed Geno, but kept him under tight regulations regardless of his private emails.

I respect both of you fellows and I can disagree on a business point without having my opinions of you change.

BTW sales for me for are up because of DS traffic. I am also getting some business here and that is great, but for me DS has been a business aid.
