Perhaps you should do what Big O does, and take your superheroine series to various Indi-film festivals, like the recent Rome Awards one.

Yeah, we all tried to keep her but couldn't. She was popular but pirates are killing the business. It makes me wonder if we should just make our videos to a select few, maybe add a few hundred to our member's club. As far as we know none of the extras that we have given out to our members have been put on a pirate site, which means we can trust those hundred members. But it's still not enough to fight against the pirates, we need some grantee that we can break even on our videos. But this is very hard to achieve.

The only way you can be sure is by using your website as streaming service rather than allowing people to download your videos.

And yes, streaming service with DRM protected content.

That is a thought, alas it's not up to me, this is Blue's company and he calls the shots, I suspect people would rather own the film rather than just screen it at a site, I may be wrong. This is the part when I ask people for their opinion and this is the part where I get one or maybe no response :-)

Imagine if Netflix allows it's originals to be downloaded and owned by people. :)

When people own a product, they may start to distribute it.

Yep, so how do people feel about us only streaming our videos?

No, please don't. Let us download them so we can watch them off time after time at our leisure.
Sometimes internet connection around here is patchy at best so streaming is not a very good option.
