Do you prefer the heroine to be in their secret identity and then get defeated as the Superheroine, or defeated just as a Superheroine?

I love both! Seeing the heroine ambushed in the supposed safety of their own home makes for a wonderful variation! I also love the forced transformation after the heroine is knocked out, or better yet, killed in her civilian disguise as in Ultrawoman 1! Perhaps the scenario in Darkwing 23 was the most enjoyable, where she believed she'd defeated the threat and then changed back into her civilian guise, only to find her foe regenerated and forced to fight and be defeated without any of her advantages.

I think Sky says it well here, although not every episode needs to feature a "civilian guise" element it is a very fun and exciting way to highlight the heroine's vulnerability. It can also lead to a wider variety of costumes for the heroines, letting us see who they really are when they aren't saving the day in spandex and heels - and whether or not they're prepared to defend themselves outside their supersuit!

I don't know that I have an actual favorite - different Cold Cases offer different elements, all done splendidly - but anytime Yvonne puts on the bodysuit she wears in "Assignment Interrupted", it's a great episode!
I also really liked the knife stabbing her right between her boobs, I wouldn't mind seeing this element more often - particularly on well-endowed beauties like Yvonne or Lynda!
