First attempts at poser style art.

Post by DantheMan »

Here are my first attempts at poser-style art using DAZ Studio 3D. I would love to hear what you guys think and what I need to improve.

Hey DantheMan,

Just a little thing, but you've got to add shadows for the figures. Otherwise, they look like they're floating above the landscape as opposed to be sitting or standing on it.

I can only see one of your images, since the links seem to be overloaded.

Thanks for the suggestion Bluestone. I knew something looked funny but I couldn't put my finger on it.

Ground shadows, ( I think it is in the lighting control panel IIRC)
I was going to say the same thing, your first attempts look much better than mine, I had skin and clothing all twisted up trying to get arms and legs where I wanted them.
Tried Poser, gave up first night, Daz had a much easier learning curve.
I just found it easier to draw what I wanted, than spend the time looking for scenery, poses, clothing and props, the render it all together  and hope it all came out right.
Keep it up, you are off to a better start than I did!
