Death on the Nile 2022 MAJOR SPOILERS

Just saw Kenneth Branagh's new version of Death on the Nile and those familiar with the Agatha Christie novel and prior adaptations may know to expect a few female deaths. There are three.

First Gal Gadot (always stunning) is found dead in her bed having been shot in the temple. She's lying fairly serene looking, eyes closed and the wound on her temple is very bloodless and tame and we see her a few times on bed. The murder is shown in flashback but shot is only heard off-screen as camera pans away. Her body is later seen in the ship freezer laid out for storage on a table but she's never shown well as its clearly a stand-in for Gadot. The bare feet are shown frequently as Poirot is standing at the foot of the table with them right in front of him whenever he's shown and at one point he straights one that lies on side and a comical stiff crack is heard and he does an oops gesture.

Secondly the stunning Rose Leslie is found dead in the ships turnwheel in the water, having been dumped there and is seen passing by a glass partition as she's pulled up the wheel, her foot cracking the glass as she passes by for dramatic effect. her body is then pulled out of the water and seen laid out on the deck and it cuts to an overhead shot of her laid out on deck in full body view, all wet and pale, staring widely up... one shoe off her stocking foot. They show the same shot... not same shot but body is shown in the same away again later and there's one nice shot of her lying as others are in frame as well so she's not quite the main focus but also not in background, shown from side. Also quick shot of her with stare as her body is carried down stairs on stretched and character looks down at her, very quick but nice. Her murder (throat cut) is seen in flashback but its quick as its done in a way to not reveal who kills her so she gives quick reaction and it cuts to her blood spraying on wall somewhat away since scene is shown from point of view of someone witnessing it in secret.

Emma Mackey who is utterly dazzlingly divine shoots herself in the end through her lovers back. It cuts to very cool closeups of her and her lovers clothes having blood spread through them and then cuts to her reacting and the camera slowly pulls away as she and her lover slowly sink down in each others arms into a bar stool with him sort of sitting slumped back in it and her slumped in his arms, slowly fading and going still with her eyes staring listlessly and her legs spread down limp against the floor while camera keeps panning away till we see them in full body view and it holds a bit before cutting away. Emma performs this amazingly and looks breathtaking.

Thanks for the descriptions. I don't know many of the actors in this one, but I hope the Poirot is better than Peter Ustinov.
