Guys, who enjoy squibs, can you recommend any mainstream scene, where the squib is done not as an out burst of a big amount of blood, but with a maximum small hole with little amount of blood coming out? Preferably breast/chest area.

Also do you remember any chest squibs, where the girl is clearly braless with perking nipples? This can be met in customs (especially that ones, that I have ordered by myself), but not in mainstream…

This is a great question. I agree that the mainstream movies are fixated on a huge explosion of fabric, sparks, smoke and blood, which is definitely not the way a bullet entering a body is going to react with the garment. It spoils the effect for me.

Big O is right about Scorpio. It is one of the better ones.

But even that is still not quite what you're talking about, I think. Unfortunately, I really haven't seen anything better than the Scorpio clip, at least nothing comes to mind.

We can't afford squibs in our productions, so we use compositing effects to create the smaller holes as the bullet enters and small sprays of blood. I'll pull a still from "Girl in Room 13" and post it.

My favorite squib shot is an extreme one... from EXPOSED (1983). The blonde at 2:12

Yeah, the Indian stewardess is the closest to the right hole, but then they had quart bottle of blood draining out.

I have to disagree. A squib is an explosive device and I don't don't that effect was done with explosive devices. So while it is a excellent effect, I don't believe it counts as a squib effect.

You're right, Ric, about it not being a squib. But I agree with Baldur that it's one of the best in the breast shots I've ever seen...

This one is really perfect and the best from naked skin squibs. Would be definitely my all time fav if the same is done on white blouse or white summer dress with blood stream coming down, and all the scene is done in colour.

Technically, you are correct. But any FX proves its worth if you re-loop it repeatedly and still ask "HOW did they do that?" I'm not sure how they did that one, nor this "best I've ever seen" arrow hit in THOR AND THE AMAZON WOMEN:
