After the snap, everything stops - arms, legs, breathing. in the real world other things happen for a minute or so, but let's not go there.
-as a sound effect crack your knuckles ( softly)

BTW - I was going to suggest this, ever try a bear hug?
Kinda like strangulation with out the hands around the neck

Eve,

I've found it best to have the killer hold the model's head, but have the model twist her neck herself with the killer following the motion. If you can't do that without it looking fake, make sure the parties know the range of the model's neck. The other safety method would be to do it slower than normal and speed up the film in post-production. The sound effect really makes the action work!

Finally, a personal preference would be to have the model's eyes open wide in horror as her neck is snapped.

No advice on snapping necks, but please no more hand stranglings from behind the victim. The approach you took in the first installment of the killer skull series pretty killed any interest I might've had in buying a copy. I much prefer a frontal attack in which the killer uses his thumbs.

A quick formula: movement - snap - hold - release

You need movement from the victim to intensify the effect of her going completely limp right after the snap. To allow the viewers to take this effect in fully, keep her upright after the snap for a couple of seconds. Make shure that she's facing the camera in this position, so that we can enjoy her death stare. Then let her slump down to the ground.

But if you plan to snap the neck of a sleeping beauty (in other words, if the victim isn't moving before the snap), then I would stray away from canon and let the model perform some full body spasms right after the snap. The reason is simple: A neck snap is a "tame" method of killing (no blood, no long fight), it lives from the contrast between before and after. Everything which enhances this contrast helps to improve the scene.

That's just my opinion - a fan of neck snaps, but not a producer - and I bet you'll find a ton of people telling you the exact opposite.

My only suggestion would be if you want to do show a rear-attack to showcase the actress, use a rope or other flexible weapon. I would think a demon would have access to things like chains and stuff. Kendra is totally beautiful!

I agree. Give me a garrote for a rear attack any day.
