I got "download them all", but that turned out to be a piece of crap. I expected it would be able to: either download all the pics in a gallery in their "big" size, the one you get if you click on them, or, at the very least, if I opened each pic in a separate tab, to be able to saved all the pics from the open tabs. It's unable to do either.

So, any tools that can download all the pics in a gallery like this:

at full size? I need them for manip purposes.

I have doubts about what you want to do being possible, since the full-sized photos have different URLs from their thumbnails. But I've been wrong before, plenty of times. In any event, you can try the following, which I haven't been able to test because real-world work has me up to my ass in alligators.

First, get the full version of the Free Download Manager here:

You can use Black Widow by Softbyte Labs to do this. There's a little bit of a learning curve to using the tool, but it's powerful. Will easily spider out all of the images on a site. Use caution when using it however, since it absolutely hammers the bandwith for the target site so you may make an unfortunate webmaster unhappy if you raid too aggressively.

I use that plugin myself. Make sure the Links tab is selected at the top left. Otherwise, you'll wind up downloading the thumbnails that are linked to the larger pics. Also, the plugin doesn't work for galleries in which the larger version of an image is part of its own HTML page.

As for other free solutions, I haven't any that work as well as that one, but I refuse to buy commercial software that claims to do the same thing, either.
