Strangling/smothering is not my main interest, I do, however, like stranglings which are done in an execution style way. The victim is restrained in some way, for example tied to a chair, and she knows what is coming her way. Preferably she is strangled from behind with a piece of rope.

I think the real appeal of a strangle scene is that there is more time - more time to realize you are dying, more time to struggle against it. I always like to see some panic, thrashing, struggling to get free. I always like one last frantic move just before death, arching up and trying to get away or the like. That's just me, of course, but I've always been a bit dissapointed when a girl goes to easily into that good night.

I like all forms of asphyxia but strangulation is my favorite. It is, I think, as Deviated said, the struggle, it takes time for death to come. What I found disappointing is when the strangling starts and the girl dies almost immediately, I want her to fight and lose. When I imagine being strangled, or write about it, my body moves just as it does in sex, the arching, muscles tensing. But it has to take time, give me the opportunity to struggle and panic before I expire.
