Hope Solo Death Scene in Dancing with the Stars

Post by dpsleepy »

Just a note that on last night's Halloween-themed Dancing with the Stars, soccer star Hope Solo did a dance where she "died" at the end. Someone already loaded it onto YouTube:

The death scene starts at around 3:42. It's not fantastic, but it's pretty cool!

dpsleepy,

Thanks much for this! I watch no weekly TV shows, so I rely totally on Members here to supply me with these 'goodies'...lol. No, the 'fall' part is not anything at all, but the after-view is quite nice, sprawled on her back, on mainstream TV stage with millions watching, arms outstretched to the sides, nice leg and thigh view.

And the millions ALL loved it, dpsleepy, guaranteed. Just as they would have loved Shawn Johnson or Bristol Palin or any others in provocative outfits 'falling' like that.

And as a former athlete still very involved nationally and internationally with women's sports, the Hope Solo story is a great one.

I think she has Hollywood eyes, I truly do. Mesmerizing eyes, ala a Jolie-type, in ways. And she is very pretty.

And appears this month, btw, nude, on the cover of ESPN magazine.

I say great story because a few years ago, when she was the back-up goalie for the U.S. Women's International Soccer team that had TONS of international titles to its credit, she made a very large 'stink' when she was not chosen to be in goal for a particular Final Match at a major World event, and shockingly, the U.S. women lost that day.

And young and still immature Hope, brash and outspoken, made quite a bad name for herself with the manner in which she handled the entire thing. Such disrespect as she showed was not what 'we' have stood for in women's sports. That soccer team was revered, justifiably, and had been together 15 YEARS.

But unlike many, I never 'fried' Hope at that point. And now she has matured into not only the Best Goalie on what is generally considered the World's Best Team (at least in top 2 or 3), but a super Adult and one who WORKS her ass off for everything she gets.

So this video showed that part of her, dpsleepy, just in the manner in which she accepted the instruction after the prior week's miserable on-stage performance. She kept smiling, but knowing Hope, what was beneath that smile was that same fire and intensity and FOCUS she has always had to be 'great' at whatever she did.

So I may be 'off base' here, but I see a Hollywood career in her future if she wants it.....and she will want it....lol. Again, those eyes, to me, are very, very marketable and 'done up' the way Hollywood can do things, I think they are very Hollywood eyes and bedroom eyes....lol.

I'm thrilled with any success anywhere that Hope achieves, because I know how hard she works, and she will have earned that success.

Being a retired Athlete is something like being a Parent.....and the same is true for other Occupations and things....we want the Next Ones to represent the occupation well to the rest of the world.

Hope Solo now does that very well, to her credit and the credit of women's sports; it is those like her who continue the growth opportunities for women in those areas.

Besides, I love to watch dancing or, better yet, TO dance!!! One of THE erotic activities on this planet!

Foreplay, anyone? Just put on some music, and you'll get it....lol.

May I draw your attention to the Team Paso video. Stay with it till the finish. Sandi I think you will agree that staying to the finish is an excellent disipline.

Sandi,

Hope Solo (aside from having an AWESOME name), does indeed have a fantastic life story. She's also really sexy. She has been having problems on the show in showing "soft".

I hope she does try acting, especially if she takes roles where she gets finished off. :) Maybe as a western gunslinger who ends up getting shot. I think she looks awesome on the floor.

nekosan,

I saw the end of the team Paso routine too, but on first viewing didn't like it as much, mainly because I felt the camera angles were frustrating. I could have handled them staying on that ceiling camera, or something, but it was hard to see what the lovely ladies looked like on the floor. I was afraid this would be the case in the Hope dance (when the camera did the shot on the guy near the end), but they ended up doing it pretty well.

Still, on a second viewing, I like the "killing" in the team Paso routine, and the way their bodies rolled on the floor.

Mr. dpsleepy,

I agree with you all the way down the line.
The DWTS people actually seem to shy away from the conclusion of most if not all (I am not a regular DWTS 'viewer' so I cannot say for certain) of the Paso Doble performances. I am not a dance expert either but from what little I have gathered from the Paso Doble (Dobles ?) that have been danced on the show. The dance ends in the death of one of the two people performing the dance. So far as I have seen that has been the female partner. And the grace and beauty of that part of the performance deserves as much attention as does the opening movement.
Okay. I spent my two cents. I do not see myself petitioning the producers of the show to linger on the 'dead' partner ,but they might pick up about 20 K or so more viewers on the nights when a Paso is on the dance card :- ) .

No, Paso Doble dances don't always end in death, though, in the case of Kate Gosselyn's version a few years ago, it would have been welcome. Lord, was she horrible!

The dance is supposed to be like a bullfight, where the man is the bull fighter, and the woman is... the cape. (I wish she could be the bull, but there it is.) That said, it seems to end a lot with the woman in a very submissive pose, possibly bent over the man's leg, or lying on the ground.

On the subject of dance, I know I've found a bunch of dance deaths on youtube, but I must not have put them all in one playlist. If you go to my "Video Log" http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL ... re=viewall (which is where I keep all my very favorites), you'll see a number of cool dance-related death scenes. (There are also some KO and non-dance videos there too.)

Can't resist.....lol.

Three Hope Solo images here. I could easily 'see' the first one as her 'preparing' for some Female Fantasy Death Competition with another Woman; it's just the way my mind works....lol. Sometimes, I'd pair her against another Athlete, and sometimes against a Woman totally different in 'style' and 'mood' and 'presence' than an Athlete.

I love the second one because of the eyes and the body view a bit....it 'could' certainly be, in the context of one of 'our' scenes, not necessarily her finishing move but a reach-in at the neck of her opponent who was on her back.

I also like the navel view, yes...lol.

And the final picture is her Cover on this month's ESPN magazine. She's an interesting contrast of 'feminine' and 'rippled'. In the ESPN image, which distorts her 'normal' look of her chest and abs because she is purposely straining them mightily for the picture, her legs still convey 'feminine' to me, not those of a body-builder (which she is not...lol). And her face remains 'soft' yet with her eyes I can 'read' a lot of emotions and roles she could play.

She is a very determined and focused woman. I'd have to have her as the bad girl....LOL.

Ciao!

and if I can get away with a 4th image in one thread, her picture from DWTS, which certainly shows a Woman....lol.
