Is My Clip Site Confusing?

Earlier today, I received an email from someone asking me to revoke their access to my clip site, explaining simply that, "the website sucks". After reminding them there is no membership to cancel, I asked them what they didn't like about it - if there's something I need to fix, I'd like to know about it. They wrote back saying, "i expected only different content. not my thing." I opted not to press them any further, and just thanked them for clarifying, but now I'd like to pose a question to the community at large.
This is the second request I've received from two different people in the last three months asking to cancel their membership because the content wasn't what they were expecting. Is there something about the entry or preview pages that doesn't clearly explain what my site's purpose is before giving people the option to sign up?
If you have a few minutes, and have never visited my site, I'd like you to click on my signature below and look over the information on both the entry and preview pages, but don't sign up. Then, return here and post a response telling me what type of content you think is inside and what led you to believe that. I want to make whatever modifications necessary to avoid confusing anymore potential future members.
Thanks.

Some people simply don't read. They are probably looking for porn, and it is usually behind closed doors. So, they check it out, and decide it's not for them. The fact that they want their membership cancelled is a clue... first that they don't read... and second that they don't want to leave footprints on the net... as if that was possible.
Don't worry about it, Nyghtfall. Your site is fine. These guys are just looking for something other than a cool asphyxia site.

Nyghtfall, I took up your challenge
For those who read the entire caveat and questions plus the preview, your site is perfectly clear.
But the clarity is in the preview, not so much in the caveat. The opening description hints at "adult sexually oriented mateial...." which some may find deceiving and titillating. Therein may be the source of confusion.
Let me first say that I am familiar with your offerings from years past. Thus I know that typical porn asphyxia as produced by JohnM, ChrisB, Dirty Deeds, Psychothrillers and other similar sites are not part of your library. Your preview clearly states that you are sporting mainstream videos. Yes, they are adult, with nudity and implied sex. but there is no porn.
The caveat taken in toto seems to promise more nicheclip like clips for the freeloaders. They may simply be disappointed.
Perhaps your detailed question list should be appended to the sign up form (page) rather than the opening caveat.
My analysis and opinion.

There's actually a relatively new section on my site called My Custom Videos. I added it last October. It lists work (five titles so far) I've had done by producers like PKF, Bluestone, and Psycho-Thrillers, and includes links where people can buy copies from NicheClips. My hope in setting it up was to help drive sales for those videos, and spread word about the producers who made them. In fact, that section is the only reason I have the rather verbose adult warning on my entry page.

You may have a point. Someone on Fetnoir mentioned that as well. Given that all of the videos available for download are strictly from mainstream sources, I wonder if I should remove the Custom Videos section.

I have not yet enrolled so I cannot comment regarding your custom section. However, I suggest taking a lesson from FF and Nicheclips. That is
The questions alone may be insufficient to deter the underage searchers. Thus, the few that seek retractions may have cause for concern in that they "lied" to enroll. Both Nicheclips and FF locked down their more adult offerings. Free access carries an undeniable responsibility regardless of cautionary warnings, etc.

I'm not sure what the problem was with your guest but I was registered and signed in in minutes. I suppose PennPaul was probably correct - 'adult content' is generally accepted to be nude fuck and suck. He was probably disappointed that he wasn't watching some pirated porn content.
Good luck!

I'm a long-time member. I've even sent you a clip or two. The way I see it, they are misled by the word "adult", which is well known to be a euphemism for "porn" (adult book store, adult theater, etc.). At the top of page one it says, "A Free-Access Web Site for the Adult Fantasy Asphyxia Community." You mean "for grownups", but they read "porn". Maybe "A Free-Access Web Site for the Fantasy Asphyxia Community." The legal caveats that follow take care of the "adult" part.
Which raises another issue. If you're so adamant about letting only people over 18 in, because the intent of the site is that the clips are for those of us who are sexually aroused by asphyx material, how can you justify including clips featuring people who are under 18? Not to start the whole debate, but there is that inconsistency in your stated position, which also gives lie to your first page. You asked.

I've always appreciated your site for it's content and quality. I know a lot of work and care went into it. Everything is a tapestry of issues, not just one or even a few colorful threads. Obviously you'll get the range of visitors from illiterate verbose morons to enlightened and creative intellectuals. Any form of public expression is likely to present you with the range. I'm not revealing anything new here. I like to think the vast majority of folk fall into the latter category. My concern is dealing with the former. No amount of clarity of purpose can indemnify you from everyone. The only strategy is a philosophy of grace. As long as your not being stalked or prosecuted forgive the clod and let it go. Which you seem to have already done. Bravo.

I've tried to sign up for your website before, but never received the username/password in my inbox. Checked my spam folder, and it wasn't there.

Maybe your site filters out yahoo email addresses? Would love access to your site.

Info sent. Sorry for the trouble.
If anyone else encounters problems registering, please e-mail me directly. I'd rather not post the login info on an open board.
Thanks.
