I am genuinely curious. I know there are many Superheroine producers out there. I've heard of Punished Heroines, Rye, and Next Global Crisis. Who are your favourites, and why?

I've really not dealt with many specific producers in the genre, but I know a lot of producers stick some stuff in. I love your work with UKSG in this regard. UKSG has always had this ability to not just cast hot women, but hot women that can act, and film them at a very high quality. So the plots you two have come up with, with the actresses you two have cast, have been 15 minute mini-epics of a very high professional quality. And hopefully it might prod UKSG to re-release some of their previous heroine work. It wasn't a prominent feature, but I know UKSG has said they've made excursions into the style since the very beginning, and the Penelope Lewis v. Wonder Woman video I have (the strangling, not the stabbing) is really hot, as is the Teen Bat story (speaking of that vid...I think the actress did one of the spy girl vids as well? It would be nice to see that one re-released!).

Punished Heroines are really good too. Some of their material (okay, most of it) is rather hokey, and I wish they'd encourage the girls to struggle more (they seem to like noises, but not like thrashing that much), but they tend to have some good actresses. Raven Alexis and Paris Kennedy are both alumni of them, and their material for them was just great.

Paris' own superheroine store is really good as well. It's more general peril than death fetish, but it's good quality stuff.

It's the Japanese that do the best heroine material though. The Aikiba clan of producers run the whole gamut, from general bondage and peril, to humiliation videos (rape and panty pissing are common themes), but it's Giga and Zeus that are their death fetish specialists. Giga largely deals with humiliation clips, but there's a good number of material on there that's death fetish. The most common form of death they use is strangling, but they have the hard supression series that tends to take things up a notch. Zeus on the other hands deals almost exclusively (in their death fetish material) in extreme guro. It's not always hot. it can be downright uncomfortable actually. But it's truly impressive material. All 3 Aikiba producers though tend to have strongly story-based scripts, with actresses that can emote and portray action well and are scream queens once the humiliation and violence starts. The costuming is good, and the special effects are very effective, especially in the guro videos. They cinematography is where they really excel though. It's almost tv quality, with I think 5 cameras of good, clear film stock (unless it's digital cameras).

I've really liked Next Globl Crisis, good believable costumes. And although I've only seen one death it was done pretty well.

All good information. Anyone else care to add their comments?

MikeDark,

Teen Bat was re-released some time ago. It's under the UKSG Classics banner at my store and at Genre Videos.

Yeah, I think I bought it off of the Nicheclips store when it came back out, after years of looking for it. But I could have sworn there was a Teen Agent vs. the Red Ribbon Strangler with the same actress.

There are a lot of Superheroine producers out there, but few who do anything of quality. Punished Heroines was a favorite as they were into the death peril topic. I got a bit tired of all the deaths being by strangulation, but they did have some really hot actresses (Paris Kennedy, Raven Alexis pre-tattoo). I also like Dawnstar Productions, I had ordered a couple of customs through them. Shakeshift was always great to work with.

I enjoyed Punished Heroines, too, but I thought their videos were a bit overpriced.

They cranked out only two videos last year, the last one in December.
There's been nothing since.

For some reason I believe that Rye isn't as involved with PH; I think there's a different guy running that shop.

Yeah, it seems when Paris and Raven started to break away from them to other producers, their output went down considerably. I don't think they've closed shop, but they've slowed to maybe 2 or 3 productions a year. And yes, they are really overpriced. $30 for their films is a little ridiculous. I'd have a lot more of their stuff they priced things more like Blue, Chris, PKF, A/C Stanglegirls, and All About Eve did: between $7-$21 a video. If the options are 1 $30 video or 3 $10 videos, I'm going to be a lot more selective about the 1 video and probably put it off for a while to focus on equal quality productions that I can get more quantity for for the price. And with Blue doing these 2 and 3 for 1 heroine vids, it's almost a no-brainer anymore who I'm going to buy from.

I probably should add what some here already know. Among my top favorites are Zen (non-fatal peril), Giga (fatal & non-fatal peril) and Zeus (fatal peril) which is in the process of merging with Giga for marketing purposes. There is more info on this merger at the bottom of this thread: http://www.femmefatalities.com/phpBB3/v ... f=6&t=8157

Zen, Giga and Zeus actually are umbrella groups for more than a dozen Japanese producers that cooperatively share production and marketing facilities. We have a roughly similar setup here in the US with PKF and Dirty Deeds sharing some resources.

I say all of those play a part, but for me it's largely the acting and content

I think the setting is also important. So many producers film in homes/apartments; what I like about the UKSG productions is that they will use flexible sets.

Two Words:
Diana Knight!
There is no greater actress when it comes to superheroine.
If you get the chance to hire her please do. Her wonder woman costume is the best in the industry bettwer than Christina carters who's new costume looks like it has a turkey head on it.

As for Producers.....
In my opinion Producers all suck for different reasons.
Some producers do too much and they try to shoot what they do with superheroines.

When you shoot a superheroine movie do not try and shoot a death fetish movie with superheros in it, instead shoot a superheroine movie with death in it! superheroines have their own vibe. their own flow, their own patterns. trying to force your death fetish patterns into a superheroine movie is a great way to fail!

Don't worry about people,e who sday that sets are important. thats a crock.
There are several very popular producers who make superheroine videos in their apartments and they do it so well they continue to sell...this is a nitpicking from people who want large hollywood scales but do not understand what a budget is.

Look at Diana Knights work.
much of it repeats. and when it doesn't she uses a greenscreen. and yet she is highly demanded.

Look at Christina Carter. she has amazing sets, incredible props, high end production and yet she is on the same level as diana. you don't need large sets. you need originality

Look at Kithos. She came on with a great reaction but she was so full of herself she soured every customer of hers and now she is like a plague. Treat your customers like you appreciate every sale you get and never let your big head show. Its ok to be proud of your products but when you start agreeing with your fans about how great you are you can expect to be dumped soon

Look at Tomiko. She has a great series of doing superheroine death and people love her because she is simple and just weants to show you how her hero is always defeated. she has a strong fanbase.

Look at Evangeline. She spent money on a real costume. Many producers go for cheap halloween adventure costumes and then expect everyone to start buying. Put money into your costumes and they will line up

Look at everyone else.
They all have their individual niches. cunt busting, strangle, fighting in rings, heavy special effects, lesbian sex, etc. these have their fans but no matter what their fans say they will always be under the best producer bar because they are making sex fetish flavored videos under the guise of Superheroine fetish. Good producers mix in many many elements.
when people say Giga, Rye, paris are the greatest I have to laugh because they all do niche fetish covered in superhero.

Just develop in superhero style.
don't try to copy UKSG strangle in superhero clothing. it will fail.

Price well...Like $0.75 a minute some companies try to milk at 30-40-50 bucks a piece and all they get is people making great big complaints

Good Luck
