This is for producers. I just want to remind, especially the new producers that certain logos, costumes and such are trademarked. In general, large companies forgive tiny infractions, like a food product logo or equipment logo that might appear during the course of movie.
But, it starts to get a little risky doing costuming. Superhero customs and such seem to be done regularly, but the name of the character is almost always changed.
Just recently, I notice a site using the Hooters girl costume and actually titling the sets as "Hooters Girl..."
While I have always wanted to do trademarked custuming (UPS, Hooters, Sonic), having plenty of costumes and requests, I have refrained for this reason. It is illegal and can result in lawsuit. But that is not really important as it is the producers burden. What is important is that we don't have outsiders scrutinizing our sites and most importantly, the place where most producers depend on to sell their product. Google is very powerful. Type in some trademarked name and get a picture link to a preview on Nicheclips....oops...now want.
So, I ask of all the producers inducing myself...be careful (especially with titles that contain trademarks). There are a lot of things that would sell in trademarked costuming, but catch the eye of the wrong person and there might be problems.
Anyhow, just some thoughts.

Re: A note about Trademarks and Copyrights
Seems like hypocrisy. We ask that our customers don't file share even though it is easy to do without getting caught. But, then a producer says they will use trademarked items purposely (for profit), because they know what they are doing is illegal, but they feel there will be little to no consequences.
Well, that was what I meant. The can do what they want obviously. Maybe over time they will move on from that to something that is self-sustaining by it's own right.

I think you'd make a lovely Wonder Woman, Eve. :idea:Evangeline wrote: To provide the fantasy of wonder woman being killed by an evil villain you need to do one of two things.
1) spend thousands to have a wonder woman "type" costume made that does not violate any copyright
2) spend $100 on a wonder woman costume
