Are We Obsessed?

Hey Gang,

Something that was said on another thread got me to thinking. Is there such a thing as eroticdeathfetisholism? Are we eroticdeathfetisholics? If so, is there anything wrong with it? I pose these questions for discussion purposes only.

The suggestion on another thread seemed to be that, if we're too obsessed with our fetish that it is not a good thing. Do we need some balance in our life? If so, what is a safe level of exposure to our type of material? If we spend every waking hour obsessing about our fetish, is this too much time spent on fetish-related material? Should we make sure that our families and friends come first, and only indulge our fantasies for limited periods of time? No, I don't have the answers, but I am certainly willing to share my thoughts.

I personally spend a lot of time producing my material and contributing to this board; however, I also make sure that I have a full life, including a full time job, family time, time for sports, and social functions. With my filming and editing, although it directly involves my fetish, it also relates to my creative and social outlet. Although I often discuss my fetish with Suzi, because she's interested, I seldom to so with Petra, since she is not interested in it. In fact, most of the time that I interact with my cast, it's regarding the film industry and their experiences, as opposed to the death fetish. While I'm editing, I spend just as much time editing the non-death scenes as the death scenes. So, I discount my filming and editing time, and only allocate a portion of it directly to my fetish time. All in all, I feel that I maintain a healthy balance between fetish and 'normal' activities.

Any other producers or consumers care to comment?

As long as there are individuals that come in here and ridicule people about their fetish, I will no longer state what or even if I have a fetish.

I posted in a thread, a few weeks back, about how this would further alienate the average members of this community. I seriously doubt that you will get many responses here by the consumer portion of this board. That is why the largest majority of members *never* post. They would like to remain anonymous in their perusing of offerings. The do not wish to have the spot light shined in their direction. I'm reasonably sure, that they would not want anyone to analyze the meaning behind their fetish. Unfortunately, this is exactly what will occur. It has already begun in another thread, the continued demeaning others, to the point of sickening me. As you might can tell, I am very displeased with the manners shown here in the past hours. I can assure you, that there are many who share my view, that will never come out and say anything.

I know exactly what you're saying, tOkie, but unfortunately not everyone on this or other forums respect one another to the extent that I, or you, would hope for. This is unfortunate, but I disagree that it's a valid reason for not posting on this thread or others. We all have anonymity on this board, and this can be a double-edged sword, but it certainly insulates one somewhat from insentitive statements from other posters. Secondly, it has been stated by me at least twice in the last few hours that ridiculing board members or their fetishes are not appropriate and fall short of the civil conduct expected on this board. If necessary, the board rules will be enforced in this regard. Accordingly, this is still a safe environment in which to post.

Those who are interested in sharing on this topic, please feel free to do so. I feel that it is a valid topic, and something that everyone should consider both with respect to our fetish and with respect to life in general

I fully understand and appreciate what you, Blue and you too, Paul have said here today. Other than a few reviews, I have never even hinted about my fetish openly. I, most certainly, am not scared nor intimidated by *anyone* to let my alterme be known. I have no problem *pretending* what it would be like to be underneath Dalila in her belly video, when she is uttering the words "too hard, too hard". I certainly wouldn't sit here and lie about not thinking what it would be like to take full advantage of the bullet riddled gorgeous body in Paul's "Wicked Femme".

Am I obsessed with this? In a word, No. Do I or have I ever thought about trying to recreate any simulations of fantasy in real life? Never. Do I believe that it is thoroughly despicable for anyone to pick out a persons fetish and make unsolicited psychological recommendations about it? Absolutely.

I will now shut up and let someone else have a go at this.

What is an obsession? Something we regularly do that makes us feel good?

I obsessively analyze everyone I meet, preforming what I suspected happened in there childhood to create the complicated person they are today. I attach a myriad of possible DSM IVR affections and abnormality to help me understand thier motivations and their likely reactions to my interactions with them. Suffice to say, I am good with people in this business.

A friend of mine is obsessed with Facebook. She is on it everyday. She runs 3 farms. She is obsessed with her "virtual" farms.

I know someone who jacks off to internet porn about 6-8 times a week. Maybe it is necroporn. Are they obsessed?

I don't think any of these examples are. They are just a function of who we are. Each one of us is different. What some see as obsession is normal to others.

We judge what others do way too much. We worry about ourselves way too much.

I am, somewhat, obsessed with womens asses. I can never seem to get my fill of ass and legs. Funny, there isn't much in the way, for what I've seen to date, of this being played up as a fetish. I have seen some work, some in the gun fun series, that I really like. But (all pun intended) I don't see a lot of that in the few videos I have been able to snag. Even just pans of butts would be nice.
