Was re-watching this at the weekend and just wanted to say - if this turns out to be a one time appearance for this actress, it would be an absolute tragedy.

Not only is she gorgeous but she plays her role pretty brilliantly too.

Please tell me you have plans on bringing her back when things get better??

I always feel if an actress can't/won't return the 'extreme' ending where her character dies should be the canon one. Just so the character can be wrapped up onscreen and not be left dangling offscreen.

And also because permanent onscreen deaths being canon are so rare in the Blueestone Universe

Easier said than done sometimes, since we do not always know when an actress will not be returning, and it would be confusing if the storyline jumped from Peril to Extreme then back. We did, however, add the death of the Lena Catwarrior in the Peril version of "Catwarrior 9: Face to Face"; notwithstanding that another actress had to play her character. We had planned to use Lena as the new Catwarrior for quite a while, but plans had to change when we moved our production facilities back to the UK. By the way, we're planning a new Catwarrior starring Heather Page, who is just Mink with a face lift.

Why not simply cobble together a regeneration scene then, BLue, if the actress is unable to resume or return for one reason or another? You have the sfx technology to do an acceptable one.

Yeah I can understand why it'd be difficult. From my perspective it feels the main difference between the peril or extreme versions if if the character lives or dies... and that only affects the overall story when the character appears again, which necessitates the peril ending being canon. But if the actress can't return... what is affected by making the extreme version canon in cases where that is the only difference in versions? Again I'm sure it's more complicated than that, I was just saying what it looks like from my perspective.

It's just a pet peeve of mine. You have a character played by an actress with an ending where she dies and one where she lives... but then the actress doesn't return so the character just disappears from the narrative or she returns but played by a new actress. And the new actress thing wouldn't be so jarring... but we have so many heroines based on Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, etc... that a new actress may as well just be playing a new character.

I'd just prefer if recasting was done sparingly and a character would just be killed and a new character enter. Doesn't have to be a new name, can be a new woman taking up the same mantle... which for me at least would make the actress change make more sense story wise.

Wow Heather as Catwarrior!!! Oh yes!!! I always feel Heather does one of the best strangles, with her noises and mouth /face reactions she’s great. Imo coming close to the trinity of Lynda, Danica and Emma G!!!
