Hey llhuydd,
Unless I have been not paying attention the last two months... (or my being thick as two bricks line )
The frame below is from a McQuade picture & text story I believe called something like "The Misty Caper"
and read like a Sam Spade like character gum-shoe story. I thought it was one of Jim's best mini-stories.
Anyway, I was wondering have you posted that whole story yet... and if not... can you please do.

I'm not sure which story you mean. Outlaw Gal and Undertaker's Treasure both feature Misty in Wild West scenarios, but she isn't a sheriff in either one. She does get shot in both, though.

That one looks familiar - I think it might have been a stand-alone painting and not part of a bigger story.

For all the wild west fans, here's the full "Outlaw Gal" illustrated version - 24 sketchbook pages. I've also included the text story that inspired McQuade's drawings (a 28 page Word Document). G-Man uploaded an abbreviated 5-page version of this tale in an earlier post.

Hi Llhuydd,
The "Playdead Bunnies" sequence reminds me when I was hanging out with James at
the "Texas Station" in North Vegas, one of our conversations was how we both liked
to see women victims dressed in Playboy bunny type of outfits and he suggested I
would probably like the Rio Casino since a lot of the serving staff wear bunny outfits.
Also... obviously it is also the reason why I like the movie "The Swinging Barmaids".

That brings back some fond memories! Jim and I have logged many hours at Texas Station (great buffet, now closed due to Covid). We sometimes visited the Rio for cocktails and waitress ogling.

In McQuade's Club Dead Sketchbook, Misty and Nikki are actually wearing the Rio leotard costume.
