Sad to hear of his passing, McQuade was pretty formative for me and his stuff is still some of my favorite work!

Is there a tribute thread or somewhere that someone could post some fanart based on his characters?

I'm not aware of any McQuade fan art threads or tribute sites. A few artists have posted their renditions on this thread, though.

Hello again! It's been awhile, right? I didn't think I would be adding to this thread any time soon, but while doing some early Spring cleaning I came across a few more McQuade/Misty odds and ends that I previously overlooked (or just forgot about).

So, I'm doing some more scanning and will be posting the pages over the next few weeks.

Although some of these may look vaguely familiar, I should explain that McQuade often did several variations of the same material or sometimes reworked previously completed pages.

Anyway, here's the first story.

This is amazing... I had a couple of these illustrated stories thirty years ago, and lost them. I've always hoped that someday they would emerge in some ancient disk drive or file folder. Now you've given us one of them! How can I (we) thank you enough... And if you find any others....!

Thanks for the kind words - I'm happy to share what I have. I was actually surprised to stumble across this latest assortment of McQuade material - it's almost like he's still with us in spirit!

This latest posting isn't an illustrated story, it's an old Misty text tale that I somehow neglected to save to my hard drive. Hence the JPG format since I had to scan the paper pages.
