Hi Folks,
I posted one of my very favorite titles...
"Circus of Horrors" and it is now on Femme Fatalites Euro Sleaze Reviews Page.
It was the first female death scene movie I seen at the theater... I was 9 and it was the summer 1961, funny thing also was... it was before I learned about the birds and bees... and I do remember wanting to go to see this one because I expected to see female death scenes.
Any way... this review is from the Anchor Bay DVD release... the quality of the picture is a lot better then the VHS version (widescreen) but not Anamorphic!
So hopefully a better version will come out some day.
I always thought Jane Hylton's stabbing scene (bottom) is one of the best arround to come out of a major release!
Enjoy, G
Yes, I too remember this movie and was surprised, but pleased, with the number of female deaths, and the variety of them. The blonde in the knife throw scenario is my favourite, but the shock of the aerialist hitting ground has stayed with me for years. Usually in these old movies the camera would focus on something else during the impact and often not even show the body afterward. This is the rare exception. Good work G-Man!

Must be going down memory lane week.
I remember being out with my date at a drive in and this was the second feature!
So by then my date was more in the mood and I got a big bonus while watching the babe
falling to her death scene.
Man those were the days!
I hear ya, but I had a girl friend once (well more like a girl I dated) who really liked death scenes (male and female) in general... and got off on them.
She kinda spooked me... really!!!
Well back to "Circus of Horrors" I also got a kick out of Yvonne Romain (played the lion tamer)
... Man was she built!!! ...A real brick house!!!
I also loved her in "The Curse of the Werewolf" (shown here)
I seen this flick I think on T.V. back in the 70's and it is good to see clips from it now in widescreen. Wished the babe in the knife throwing sceen got it some where else besides her neck.
I can remember when I seen it for the first time and knowing she was going to get the knife in her... I was hoping of course she get in one of her large breasts!!!
Of course the best scene for me wasJane Hylton's knifing scene... again I thought... and i still do think it is one of the best stabbings from a high buget move.
