Malware warning FINALLY removed by Google!

NOTICE TO BLUESTONE CUSTOMERS:

The http://www.silknblood.com site was recently hacked and a pop-up was displayed asking surfers if they wanted to download a software program. This was the hacked script trying to re-direct surfers. That script has been removed. Before it was removed, Google flagged the site as a possibly dangerous malware site. Malware was never an issue as long as this pop-up was ignored. I have requested that Google re-consider the site now that the hacked script has been removed, but they say it may take several days to remove the warning. Trust me. The site is safe.

When I track down the hacker, I will cut him off at the knees!!!

Looks like Google re-consideration has been successful. There should be no more malware warnings when you go to the Silk 'N Blood store. We are taking additional security measures to track down and disable the hacker for good.

Sorry Bluestone, but some malware remains. Every page at SilkVideos triggers my Norton Antivirus program to announce that it has "blocked an intrusion event." No foreign popup appears from SilkVideos, and I was able to order and download without problem, but something still triggers my anti-malware protection.................................elsullo

Are you taking about the Silk 'N Blood store or the Silk Videos promo site? I just got a pop-up on the store site, so my techs are once again looking into it. It's definitely not meant to be there. I will be upgrading the store software and taking whatever other steps are available to ensure that the store is safe from this type of malicious hacking. Thanks for letting me know.

The latest hacking has been removed. It was basically spam. My techs are upgrading my store right now to the latest commerce software which is more hacker resistant.

Sorry, as of Friday noon there are still pages that set off my Norton Antivirus/antispyware to "block an intrusion attempt." The "Now Playing/Coming Attractions" page is clean, but all of the individual video preview pages that I checked did trigger the malware blocking. Alas, no good deed goes unpunished.......................elsullo

Hey Guys,

Is this the warning that some of you were getting when using a link from Silk Videos to the Silk 'N Blood store site? I have zapped it again, but generally you just have to click 'close', maybe twice before it responds and closes this pop-up.

The store is being upgraded right now, and we hope to have the upgraded version on-line soon. In the meantime, most of the new releases are available on our Nicheclips store, if you are worried about these pop-ups. They are irritating, but don't actually contain viruses or malware, unless you press the 'allow' button.

I'll post right here when the upgraded store is on-line.

I have never seen the popups because my Norton anti-malware blocked them; this was the "intrusion attempt". My version of Norton is updated daily, and very rarely is triggered by ANY site no matter how sleazy, so I do not consider this a false alarm episode.

Just a few words of advice for those who might be unfamiliar with malware popups: if the popup will not close when you click "cancel"---if it persists---NEVER click "accept" thinking that it might lead to a way to close the popup. Instead that allows the download and installation of the malware, which might hijack your computer. Don't ask me how I learned this!

If the popup will not vanish when clicking "cancel" then CLOSE YOUR BROWSER. If your browser will not close then RESTART the computer. If your computer will not shut down then KILL THE POWER for thirty seconds and restart with your fingers crossed.

Unless you foolishly click "accept" the malware is only a temp file which will be erased with a restart.......................elsullo

I've installed a new hacker-zapper on the site. It should solve the problem. Obviously, they attach themselves to high traffic sites to try to re-direct business. I guess I should take that as a compliment... but I don't. Hackers are in the same category for me as pirates... "KILL THEM ALL!!!"
