The clip downloaded fine, and played fine in Windows Media Player, but after it played I got the following error:



Clicking on the Web Help button takes me to this page on Microsoft.com that provides no help at all..


I'm on my way to bed, I'll re-read this thread in the morning and see if I can help figure out what the problem is.

Sorry you are having a problem...
please tell us what kind of computer you have MAC or PC and anything else so someone can maybe tell you how to fix.

Please try that and let me know.

This is a basic MPEG Sample.

Downloading/saving Sample 2: I click open on the save window and again RealPlayer opens to play it, and it does play. (I don't know why a few downloads open automatically into RealPlayer... Windows Media Player is my default player.)

I try the others. Chosing WMP, it plays OK, unlike the first sample which would quit with an error message half-way through.

PowerDVD... it plays OK.

DivX player, again it cannot. ("Unable to play local file").

Of course, the quality of this sample on the players that play it, is lower than the first sample, highlights washed out (too bright).

I found this link to a free down load for a VLC player.
This should help people who are having a problem playing my MPEG2 SVCD clips.

everyting's ok with the two videos with: VLC, Realplayer, MediaPlayerclassic, neroshowtime and windows mediapl.....now I will be sick everytime I'll see this one :(

I just downloaded the second sample, it plays fine just like the first one, except this one doesn't give me the error message when it's done.

No probs. here! Downloaded onto hard drive with "right click...." and played straight away with Media Player 10

Ummmm that one seeeeems to work, perhaps you could put some more and and we'll test those too. :idea:
