Fanmail to Producers!
Hey Gang,
We've got a Fanmail thread for Bluestone actresses, but there are also several producers on the FF board, and I'm sure you've all got some things you're itching to say to them. The Candid Review forum is dedicated to reviews of specific videos, but I'm sure many of you would like to discuss some or all of the following:
1. Specific questions about the art of video production;
2. Comments on particular producers, either positive of negative;
3. Suggestions for producers in general or specific member producers; and/or,
4. Other matters that you wish to bring to the table.
Am I right? Are there matters that you've always wondered about, or comments that you have always wanted to make, but didn't have a forum that allowed you to express yourself? Well, hopefully, the other producers on this board will contribute to this thread, but it's up to the customers to get this started.
Don't be shy. Let us know your thoughts!

Re: Fanmail to Producers!
I guess I'll start.
I've noticed that Pure Terror has been doing two things that really make me turn away from their videos:
1) Using gun that have the orange barrel marks on them that cry out in stark clarity that the weapon is "fake", and
2) Doing shootings and stabbings without any blood effects.
I've heard from reliable sources that they actually produce well acted scripts, but I can't get past the two issues above. Does anyone else feel this way?

I am a shameless partisan fan of Annesdreams.com (Annabellesfantasy). It is a site run with total ingegrity and openness to member suggestion and comment. The rare subscription problems are immediately fixed, and email is almost always answered quickly. The messageboard is NEVER nasty, always helpful, and frequently just fun. Nobody's fetish is slurred, no matter how fussy and particular---we are all bozos on this bus!
It's well known that Annabellesfantasy was nearly crippled by the credit card cutoff from media persecution, and staff turnover. But reincarnated as Annesdreams.com it continues on with continual improvements and much more frequent updates. In my mind it still leads the way for fetish sites....................elsullo

I am not sure if Todd is a member of this forum, so I will try to answer. These are known as "Toy Gun" videos. They are actually more common even in mainstream, from Youtube to dedicated websites. the "Orange" tip is left just to say, "hey, this is silly and fake.". That is what the customers want that commission these and believe it or not, they are popular.Max5s wrote:I guess I'll start.

I do a similar series called "Gun Fun", however I don't use orange tipped guns and while there are no effects in the main sequence, I sometimes do some digital treatments at the end as a bonus. Also, I like many, many death scenes, so they usually have 40 or more in any given movie.

Is it political correctness, or me addressing the wants of my customers. Listening. For instance, if I make a movie that addressing your and anyone else's fetish wants based on my cited statement above---is that now political correctness as well.bakerboy wrote:![]()

I submit it is more like me, addressing the needs of my wide customer base. I have released 292 movies. Of those, I have shot 7 gun fun movies. Of those 7, 5 are customs. Customs, BTW, are movies completely paid for by one of your peers. So, obviously, I make what they want--in my style.
To put it in perspective, BTW. I have made 7 gun fun movies, yet over 100 full effects shooting movies. At this point, the gun fun community might feel undeserved. :-)
Thanks,

Re: Fanmail to Producers!
I'm not sure how "political correctness" has anything to do with the toy gun videos, since it's being requested by customers. And correct me if I'm wrong, JohnM, but your Gun Fun videos seem to be at the top of the best sellers list at Nicheclips quite often. So there are plenty of people out there who like them.
Just to correct one misconception: I can't speak for other toy gun fans, but for me, the orange tip isn't necessary. It's not about the toy guns themselves. What the toy gun genre offers is three things:
1) A more lighthearted atmosphere without all the creepy/sinister overtones of serial killers and psychopaths killing innocent women, which is a turn-off for many people.
2) An excuse to have many, MANY death scenes in one video -- and correspondingly, a chance to have an "action movie" shootout storyline without an expensive cast of dozens of women!
3) A less bloody experience than a realistically produced shooting scene. If we're going for realism, then we've only got one shot to get it right: She's dead after that, right? But in these you can have many death scenes, and they can be bloodless. If the acting is good, and I don't care for blood and gore, why do I need it? Lots of older movies had good death scenes without special f/x because they relied on good acting.
There you go, for the uninitiated...

I'm not addressing what the market does or doesn't support. Who can blame a producer for producing a video that sells well? I'm simply asking if there are others out there that have a negative reaction when encountering the 2 conditions above. This is meant only to clarify my question and not to discourage discussion on the related topics brought up by others.

I suspect there are many. And, they would not be in the market for those videos in the same sense that that a hand strangle movie often does not appeal to garrote strangle lovers. However, there is always could be cross over. Some, just like to see jiggling boobs regardless of context I suppose. Girls On Trampolines come to mind. :-)

Re: Fanmail to Producers!
Hi,
I , and other custom writers and suggesters, try to write a little story or at least set up the scenario prior to the death scenes. That means that we must come up with a reason why this female victim is dying. By my own admission ,this is not easy to do because many producers and costumers are really not interested in a long scenario or in a lot of character development. You cannot blame them because time is money to the producer, and the customer buys the video for the death scene.
My inspiration for any scenario that I write or suggest varies. I might see a scene in a movie
of a particular death I wish to create, although I do change the circumstances ,or an idea might just pop into my head that I feel would make a good video. Sometimes they are simply fantasies I had in my head since I was a pup (gee that's long ago).
Producers, aside from the customs requested, have to come up with quite a few ideas in order to release a certain amount of videos each month to keep their sales up. Which brings me to my questions for you producers.
1) How do you come up with the vast number of ideas you require to make your videos?
2) Do you prefer scripts written by the customer or just outlines and suggestions?

Most of the time, I make it up, block it out, and pre-edit it in my head moments before I start shooting. Sometime, if a long story with more them 3-4 actresses, I will script it out, memorize it in the process, then shoot it.kevin67 wrote:

I prefer a general outlines. Even when a custom, an outline allows me to keep it flowing smoothly and give room for interpretation. I like the main fetish elements to be presented first so that I can give appropriate attention to those elements during shooting.kevin67 wrote:

Re: Fanmail to Producers!
Hi All,
Some good comments! Every producer is different. I am a writer first and a filmmaker second, so I always write scripts with full dialogue. In addition, I send them to the actresses well before the shoot, so that they can study their lines and ask questions or offer suggestions.
It was interesting when I worked with Petra last Spring. Her only experience with necro work was at AF. She said that she was just given an outline and had to improv the dialogue, unless it was a custom. She preferred having scripts and studied them every night before the next shoot day. This allowed her to get into character and give a more believable and varied performance.
So, I personally prefer the scripted route

Re: Fanmail to Producers!
IIMHO the diallogue makes the video and if lines are scripted it flows better.Yet a improv is also exciting. The pre sound recorded phrases track really is a bonus and subtle words and sounds of anguish really adds to the scenario and helps even a experience model. You can see what a script does for Petra it gets her creative juices flowing.Paul also has a technique for bringing out the best in his models .Not sure but i think he showed the concept in one of Brittons stabbing where she played for the camera. If he edits his voice it really flows. Final word is that all of these producer posters do a commendable job..
