The issue isn't schoolgirls, it's schoolgirl costumes - the classic plaid mini-skirt, white button-up top, knee-high socks, and black sneakers or buckled shoes. The hair is also usually worn in pigtails to enhance the youthful appearance. The look doesn't necessarily suggest an attraction to minors, rather, the forbidden fruit of a young, virginal girl. The most common example is the Catholic School Girl, which typically represents the single greatest challenge for men who fantasize about deflowering young girls, thus turning them into women. The Catholic aspect is important because it suggests a promise the girl has made to God to save herself for marriage, which in turn enhances the fantasy.
Fetish videos like JohnM's "Pledge Night" can't be classified as schoolgirl themes because the costume is missing. Instead, what you've really got are just a couple of teenage girls who were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and wound up dead. The only difference between it, and... say... a Friday the 13th movie... is the graphic violence and postmortem rape scenes.
In other words, the costume is what makes the fantasy, not the age of the character being portrayed.
Personally, schoolgirl themes aren't my thing, either. I understand the interest in them, but I don't get them. I've just never felt that kind of impetus. The victims in my fantasies are always well-educated, successful, 30-something career women, so I tend to gravitate more toward producers who create material featuring older women playing parts appropriate for their age. As it stands, EWP and Psycho-Thrillers are the only two companies doing just that with any kind of regularity, and who manage to produce material that caters to my very specific fetishes. In fact, I've had an active membership with EWP since last December, when they started posting photosets in high-res (1900 x 1250). I'd even support Bluestone's Silk Videos more if the production quality of his work was a little more on par with the TV show that inspired him, even with a shoestring budget.
As for the preview clip that John posted, I watched it just so I'd know what all the fuss was about. Not surprisingly, it didn't do anything for me, but it didn't disturb me, either. I will say that I was mightily impressed with the vis-FX on the electricity. Very nice work there, John. ;)
In the end, it all comes down to taste. Like the old saying goes, "One man's garbage is another man's art." Frankly, as long as the models are all willing participants, are 18+, and the producer has the necessary records to satisfy all State and Federal laws, it doesn't bother me at all. I just won't buy any of it.
