I would normally stay far away from a discussion such as this, but since Blue asks what everyone who hasn't posted thinks about it, as a member of this community, I feel at least an attempt at a decent reply is in order.

First, when I first saw those arguments on DS as a lurker a few months ago, I couldn't believe what I was reading. If Geno is who I think he is, he has been around for a long time; back when Femme Fatales first began, back in the good old days when I enjoyed reading his posts. Beginning a couple of months ago, I would see things Blue said, then Paul said, then Geno said, then other names I don't recall said. I couldn't believe what I was reading. My thoughts were: "Blue would never say that; Paul would never say that; what Geno is saying doesn't make any sense." The next weekend I'd lurk again. Then they seemed to be saying something totally contradictory to what they said before. And Geno would sound like he had gone off the deep end, his sentence structure not making sense but everybody seeming to understand what he was saying and arguing with him. My impression was that the board was hacked and things were being posted by someone else under another person's screen name, editing and deleting posts at will, and that everybody was just ranting and arguing aimlessly, having lost sight of what they were arguing about. It seemed to me that it had become nothing but a huge personality conflict gotten really out of hand. I observed some of this affair carry into this forum, but didn't follow it at all, ignoring it completely. (For instance, I haven't read a single post in that "flame wars" thread.) I had second thoughts abort re-joining any of these forums out of fear of the board being hacked or someone posting under other user names or the posts being edited with sinister intent to stir up trouble. I didn't follow any of these threads very closely, certainly not enough to assign blame as to who started what. I had no desire to get involved.

Second, after reading what Evilbilly pointed out about some of the sentence structure of Geno's apology post (which I felt something was wrong with when I first read the original post but couldn't put my finger on it), I think there is cause for concern, and that this issue should indeed be debated at length, especially by those who followed the threads closely and have known Geno over the years and are more familiar with threads involved. If and when Geno returns, I'm sure there will be lingering animosity that could be potentially detrimental to the board's health unless everyone shows strong compassion and avoids temptation towards anger and resentment--which could prove difficult if not impossible for some.

Third, on the other hand, my gut instinct is to abide by the opinions of Den and Dalila in their well-stated comments. Their words are words of wisdom and should be kept in mind. This is the approach I feel is morally appropriate. I would love to hear them chime in some more about this. But when I read the emphatic threats from some about leaving if Geno returns, I become very concerned. My concern about these valued members leaving may be stronger than my concern about what is morally appropriate.

I'm not saying anything definitive one way or the other, because I don't have all the facts and am not qualified to offer a valid opinion. (Despite my being around these parts for a long time, I haven't closely followed everything in the threads over the years.) Nor am I particularly interested in knowing all the facts or in participating in a blame game of any sort. My feelings must remain somewhat ambiguous (so typical of me, lol). I would rather not get involved in this any more than what I say (or don't say, lol) in this post.

In conclusion, I will abide by the administrators' of this board's final decisions based upon their knowledge of the facts and knowledge of how members feel, as well as what the majority says (without question or hard feelings on my part), whatever that turns out to be. My personal preference is for compassionate leniency, hoping that ideally Geno would return without it being a problem for the community, that everyone would be forgiving and give him another chance. However, his very presence here could be a problem based upon hard feelings over what happened. I would hope that they could resist those feelings, and all would go well. On the other hand, I would feel sad but I wouldn't object if this issue goes so far as for him to be permanently banned out of concern for this community. I feel the administrators know what they are doing, because they know more of the facts regarding the situation and know better what members feel than I do. I feel I've known the administrators of this forum (both G-Man and Bluestone) long enough and well enough to trust their judgment and handling of this situation no matter what the outcome.

I'd much rather spend my time shopping for clips, writing reviews, and discussing fantasy,origins of fantasies, fantasy preferences, film technique, or stories rather than composing posts such as this. I've spent well over two hours on this post and find myself incapable of adequately approaching this subject. I wanted to spend this time re-viewing and reviewing two of the newest fine clips from Blue and Paul, but now that will have to wait until a later date. Despite not clearly expressing a strong opinion one way or the other, these words will be my last about this matter. (However, I will participate in any future polls regarding anything forthcoming related to this issue or similar issues and base my votes upon other members' input.)

PS. Thank you, Big O and Evilbilly for contributing some humor to this thread, lol. Now I don't feel as somber as I paste in my pre-composed remarks.

All things considered, Geno was abused and pushed over the edge.
That is why he should get a break, and then be left alone.

I agree 110%. In fact if he is let back on FF, I'm gone and for good this time. Allowing that and people to have two identities on here to attack people is unacceptible.

Paul you know that I have a great deal of respect for your work because I have said so privately and publically.

You and I at one point were both carried by CnB and we were each in our own way able to offer something of high quality on our own sites as well as on Dennis' site. We never had any kind of rivalry in terms of business and offered in many ways opposite sides of a similar fantasy:

The last thing that I would want to see is anyone cause you not to be a member of a forum where you input is welcome and needed.

What a shame and loss it would be for you to decide to leave this site just because Geno would perhaps be allowed to post here every now and then.

As I said before Geno has insulted me as well. Just last week he questioned my sanity...some years ago he questioned whether I was actually a man with a beard down to my belly
(some photos of me ended that speculation!!) At the same time I often receive kind personal emails from him and am always complimented for my acting even though he despises the use of extensive stage blood.

I have as I said before learned to take each of his comments into consideration... I address the ones that I think make sense and ignore the ones that don't.

I really hope that you will do the same.

Stay regardless, because that would be best for the community.

sorry but Geno has been around a long time and knows the score, because he can do what he likes on his own board, he thinks he is untouchable. His last outburst was totally unacceptable. Hello All Members, Fellow Administrators, Moderators and Guests!

I wish to thank everyone who posted and/or voted on this subject. Many of your comments made it clear that there was fear of Geno’s return, some members even announcing that they would resign if Geno returned to FF. Others were wholly in support of Geno’s return. Yet others demonstrated a genuine desire to give Geno a chance to prove himself... to prove that his apology was sincere, that he could be a peaceful and contributing member of this very friendly and close community that has grown together under the FF banner. Well, if you’re wondering, I fell squarely into the last group.

As I mentioned on another post either here or on one of the other boards, FF Management was going to make a decision on whether or not to reinstate Geno early, taking into account the comments above and the poll results. I was confident that FF management would have reinstated Geno after serving half of his 30 day suspension provided that he would be on a limited access posting probation, and be watched closely by our moderators during this probationary period. That is no doubt what FF administration would have announced this weekend.

A few hours ago, I received information from sources that are 100% reliable. There is absolutely no doubt as to the veracity of the information that I received. I have agreed to protect my sources and to not go into detail as to the information that I received, but it is very troubling to me, and I have spent the last few hours pondering this matter before coming to this decision. I do not make this decision lightly, or out of any malice. I’d be lying if I said that I was not influenced by the comments above, especially the statements of resignations being tendered if Geno returned to this board, but, in the final analysis, that is not the ultimate reason for my decision as FF’s Head Administrator, and I take full responsibility for this decision.

A crucial part of Geno’s suspension being reduced to 30 days was his apology to Paul as well as all of the other persons and groups who were insulted by his famous flame post on FF. Well, Geno may have said the words, but he did not mean them. The information that I have obtained makes it clear that Geno has not changed his hatred for Paul. I can only assume that, if a major part of his apology is insincere, we cannot rely upon the rest of it. So, in light of this information, Geno’s apology is worthless. Geno also agreed to be civil on FF, if his ban was lifted. The information that I have demonstrates an obvious intention to skirt this restriction by encouraging others to disrupt this board on his behalf. Again, this demonstrates not only an insincerity, but an untrustworthiness on Geno behalf. Together, it is a mixture for disaster.

I hope that you have all come to know me as a fair person, slow to anger, but, when pushed, someone who does not suffer fools gladly. I have anguished over this decision more than many of you can know, because I really, really wanted to prove that everyone can get along in a mature, adult, but fun-filled, community. That was my true desire all along, and we will achieve it... but sadly without Geno.

Terms of reinstatement were set, a second chance was provided on the understanding that it would be the last chance. An apology and a promise to act civilly were delivered in word, but not in spirit. Those words were to cover the deception that lurked in their shadows. Accordingly, the terms of reinstatement were NOT met. It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Geno is hereby banned for life from the Femme Fatalities message board effective immediately

I am also sad for this decision, but I had no choice. The repercussions will indeed be felt for many years, and I firmly believe that they will be much more positive than the alternative.

I was glad to see Michael Vick get a probationary reinstatement back into the NFL after he served his time and humbly apologized and agreed to the Commissioner's terms. Therefore, I would have been fine with Geno's reinstatement if his apology proved to be sincere and if he humbly and completerly abided by "Commissioner" Blue's condition's.

I was impressed and even swayed in my thinking by Dalila and Dennis and Big O. They have been unfairly treated by Geno in the past, and yet they were above holding grudges. I have never been personally attacked by Geno, but then again, I refuse to join DS.

However, Geno's long history of malicious attacks and despicable false accusations on most every board in our small community didn't give me much cause for hope. I am sad for Blue that it came to this, but I am not at all surprised. Geno betrayed Blue's trust and sense of fair play and left him no credible option other than a permanent ban. I commend Blue for taking a stand against such blatant hypocrisy and deceit. I am glad to be a member here.
