The Future of Peril Versions of Bluestone's Videos!

Hi All,

I have been in discussions with the fans on the Ultimate Superheroine forum about what they want to see in the Peril versions of our superheroine videos. I know exactly what the Extreme version fans want to see, but I'm now being told the following about the Peril versions:

1. I should only use characters based upon Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Batgirl, which means that I might as well stop making Catwarrior and Dark Widow videos, and not bother with new heroines based upon Psylocke, Storm, Power Girl and Ms. Marvel. Also, I might as well not consider Seer and Agent August to be of any importance in the stories;

2. All Peril episodes should end with a knock-out, either by a hit, chloroform, bearhug or back break, meaning that the heroines will be in a constant state of being captives of the bad guys. This will mean that there will be very limited storylines that can accommodate this plot restriction;

May I kindly have the thoughts from the Peril fans here as to what you want to see. It's looking like I should be concentrating on featuring only Supernova, our several Amazon heroines and Darkwing, and making the Peril versions like the Extreme versions with no on-going storyline, i.e. Supernova is killed at the end of the Extreme version and captured at the end of the Peril version, but is mysteriously alive and free at the start of the next episode to take on the forces of evil again.

Let me know if that's what the fans want, so that we're not wasting our time and money producing videos that are not going to sell. We might as well produce only those videos that will be supported by the buying public.

TL;DR: Your films are awesome and you do a great job of incorporating fan input. It's impossible to please everyone, you manage to get pretty close.

I've lurked this forum for quite some time and have bought many videos. I created this account just to pipe in on this issue. You are doing a great job and shouldn't feel the need to change a damn thing. I've seen the thread that you are referring to and there's 2 people complaining, and they're serial whiners. If you look at their post history all they do is ask if there's chloro in a movie and then bitch when there isn't and tell producers that they're dumb for not listening to their advice. Oddly enough, one of them claims to have gotten into producing films, but recently ran into a bit of trouble getting things going. You'd think someone in that situation would be more understanding towards other producers, but some people are just too self absorbed to see themselves I guess.

You can't please everyone but I love how you guys try to and incorporate our suggestions into the videos. Like when you guys said you would do the broken back supernova episode I was beyond ecstatic and hope that episode is early on in the season. No other company listens and incorporates what the fans what like you guys do so don't change because of a few whiners. I would just love to see claire as dark widow again at some point in the future. I know she is busy but when she isn't BOOK HER!

I thought for sure there was a huge push for that earlier, Psylocke especially and Ms. Marvel and Power Girl... then nothing. Come on!!!! New heroines!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I agree... definitely want to see new heroines... certainly up for more with the current ones but mix it up and give us new ones too... been very excited about Psylocke, Elektra and Ms Marvel to name a few. Also an Emma frost type one would be awesome.

Yeah count me on with the new heroines stuff. Wasn't there a thread or a poll before and everyone wanted a Psylocke vid and a Ms. Marvle and Power Girl vid too? I thought those were guaranteed after all the interest they got and then nothing came of it.

Also definitely second gavin monroe's suggestion for an Emma Frost character, mind control could add something useful to the peril, make someone beat themself up, not attack, etc...

Who is telling you that? I mean no one on this forum at least. There have been two polls for heroine you want to see get a vid next and Psylocke won both times. I don't know how much more a majority you need when you win a vote twice.

I mean a this point it just feels frustrating that we ask and beg for new heroines and get all sort of positive buzz about it being worked on, I still remember being told Lynda was going to be Psylocke, and then months later the same question gets asked and we ask for new heroines again and the whole process repeats.

I mean if new heroines don't sell well and are just going to be throwing your money away... why even ask us if we want them if the answer is no right out of the gate?

Hi Fordo007, yep it's all kicking off at the USF - I am told that's where most of the Superheroine Fans are, as on here we have more death fetish fans. Believe you me mate I want to see new heroines as much as you do, but it's not up to me I'm afraid, it's up to Blue, and he's not convinced that new heroines will sell just as well as the top 3. Now here's where you guys come in, convince him this is not so. As I've said in the pass, and this is a fact, the super heroine fans out number the death fetish fans by a considerable margin so we have to go where the money is. Yes Lynda was going to be Psylocke but the fans screamed for a new Ultrawoman so that's what we gave them. Remember Super heroine fans are not only on this forum but many others, so you can't judge a pole only on here. We do our very best to give people what they want to see apart from hard core porn, we feel your frustration but by talking to us we can only get closer to what the fans want. Thoughts?

Can't you introduce them gradually, say put a Ms Marvel type or a Psylocke in a Darkwing or Wondra storyline?

Yes, Blackbird was a new heroine and she was well received, but sales were still not as good as the top three, even when she shared the spotlight with the top three in the Dark Wondra Saga conclusion. I'd love to do more and different heroines, but I need to know that they'll be supported by the majority of the fans. Lynda is now firmly established as Ultrawoman. I am prepared to cast another hottie as Psyblade, if that new character will be supported. I know she won the poll... twice... so I guess I could go out on a limb. I'll contact my casting agency this morning and have them put out a casting call for Psyblade, but I'll depend on all of you to spread the word to other forums when she debuts. If not, it won't send a good message for future new heroines in the Bluestone universe. Do we have a deal?
