Have you ever considered offering photo sets? The quality of your recent previews are good enough to offer some screen grabs as a set of stills.
I know that shooting stills during a video shoot is hard ( another body in the way )
and I wouldn't expect that...but if you're playing around one day, why not try a photo shoot?

I can see your frustration Evangeline. I haven't really commented here because shootings are my bag and therefore haven't really got personal interest so far, although your work does look excellent.

Maybe people see this forum more as a showcase for producers rather than a discussion forum, you will see that, generally, a lot of threads here receive little comment.

I certainly share your sentiments regarding some of the antics going on elsewhere, and I would imagine that policies will be shaped to prevent people using this Board- even the newly created all topic- for no other purpose than to make attacks on others. Thanks for expressing the feelings of a reasonable and genuine user regarding this matter.

Your Support comes from the fact that 168 people have looked at this thread so far and you say sales are good.

I read your postings at the other board ( we don't have dancing banana smilies here ) and I see the same circle of names posting there. ( I don't post there, but I have been a lurker as long as the present moderator has been in charge )

It is the same thing here, and in fact the same thing that happens most places, Yahoo and Google groups, other private message boards where I post my drawings. You get the same small group of posters who will answer your posts with support, and a bunch more who show their support by downloading. (or buying) your works...

At DeviantArt, I have a page filled with my drawings. Most of the time I see no comments on what I post, but I see how many times the preview pic was viewed, how many times the full size image was opened, and how many times an image was "favd" added to a viewers favorites. Those numbers mean more than any comments to gauge how well my stuff is doing.

I often get discouraged when I take a long time to create a drawing that "grabs me" and no one comments, but along comes a "stranger", someone who hasn't commented before, and makes a favorable comment....means the world to me.

All the mail we have exchanged over the past months tell me you are just as passionate about your craft as I am with mine, people like your work, please don't get discouraged.

At least no one has trashed your work in public.

I for one posted from the start to commend your clips and offer fconstructive suggestions after purchasing most of the clips you posted in the first 6 weeks or so on Femme Fatalities (I am not a member of DS).

While you have responded favorably on the board to these suggestions, they were not implemented. Not that I complain in any way about this, but I gathered that my feedback was not useful and stopped posting.

I hope that you will continue to post clips and improve quality - please do not give up just yet

I do understand the "lack of response" problem in the necro-community, in fact that was one reason why I stopped creating and posting art. If you look at SexyAmazons.com for example, you'll find pictures with HUNDREDS of hits and not ONE comment. I call it the TV generation where after you enjoy someone's work, instead of posting appreciation, you just "change the channel" and see what else is on. This can be soul crushing to artists.

I also understand your frustration. Most of the videos I've worked on never get a single comment. If it weren't for Templar and the group I work with, I'd be a bit inclined to give it up myself. The thing is; however, I enjoy doing it, so keep doing it. And I'm not reading the forums as much as I used to because I'm getting tired of reading the SOS.

I think there are only two real reasons to make these videos. 1) because you like doing it and 2) to make money (or enough to cover expenses). I'm strictly in the first group as I do not make any money at all (zip, zero, nada, 0 ) doing what I do.

This forum, although comments occur, is usually treated by members as a place where producers flog videos. You should post on the Main Discussion forum again, and ask there what people like and dislike about your videos in general. I think you'll get more feedback there on a general topic thread, than here where comments are usually limited to the video being advertised on the thread in question.

I just have one critique, if you will...

That is where, as one who wants to be seen and known as a producer, that you don't take no replies as a negative. You have to realize, that the biggest majority of members, no matter what board it is, will *never* make more than one post, if even that. It does not mean that they aren't liking what is offered, nor does it mean they are just window shopping. I do not know how your sales are, but I do know, that you have to love your craft, money or not. I don't make much at all with my "writing", but I do enjoy dispensing information that others may need to know.

You can never think that no reply means that people hate your work. You can only be happy within your own self, that what you do, is pleasing you. You may never have the "roar of the crowd", but you will have hits to your posts. Those hits mean that someone took the time to see what was being offered. It may even mean they put their money where their font is, instead of going all praise-O-gasmic on the thread.

Just keep on promoting what you do. Don't let the other stuff bring you down.

Many producers here are very confused about the advertising rules; although, I thought they were quite clear. Dalila seems to be the only producer, other than me, who is using the freedom here to her advantage. Here are the simple rules:

1. This Necro Media forum is for posting updates, limited to one active thread at a time, which can include full promotion of your videos, including prices, links to sales sites, yadda yadda;

2. The Main Discussion Forum can be used by you to start multiple active threads on other on-topic matters. Here are some suggestions:

(a) Feedback on Evangeline videos (You can simply say in such a post that you crave feedback from those who have purchased your videos);
(b) Photos from My Latest Video (Dalila does this often. Everyone loves free stills. Just don't mention prices or post links. Once the video comes out, you can just refer everyone over to your ad on the Necro Media forum);
(c) How do you want to see me and my actresses die? (Nothing wrong with this. It should give you some ideas.).

All of the above are considered within the rules and of an erotic nature and suitable for the Main Discussion forum.

You better know that I have been very honest with you about every video of yours that I have seen. Good or bad, I've told it like I see 'em.

That being said in order to build a fan base, you should be available to answer friendly questions from your fans, or other producers. For the most part, I don't think there have been any flame wars erupt over a producers video offerings.

I originally was not in favor of the off topic board, I still think that it might erupt into the wild west with guns blazing...but if you and anyone else who wants to avoid the stress and mud slinging, stay away from there, the moderators will do their best to keep the other areas quiet.

I'll be honest with you, I got the vid today, but had to go out, and just got back at 1:20 am, as soon as I look at it I assure you I will email you as always with my thoughts.

I'm happy to see you're looking at green screen...Personally, I get tired of seeing the "hotel room" background substituting for everything...now, I still have to get you to work on sound effects and background music....
