Part of the reason for the Little Cinema idea is to recover some of my costs before the pirates have a chance to do their damage.
As you know, I hate pirates with a passion, and I have some upcoming productions that are costing me a fortune. So, from now on, I'm going to screen them all at the Little Cinema first.

The consumer gets a super bargain, and once the extreme versions are released, they will receive even more value-added material and will be able to watch these super videos over and over again. Only if they're stunningly beautiful women. I wouldn't waste my time or film on those regular pirate low-lifes.

Just to clarify, when I'm talking about pirates, I'm talking about those who prey on community producers who don't have the Hollywood budgets required in order to weather the loss of revenue. Piracy is factored into those large Hollywood budgets, and if they weren't making huge profits, Hollywood would be shutting the doors. The situation is different with our smaller community producers, me included. I put out serious money, especially on these co-productions, and it's a very simple formula. If I invest $X, and the sales are not sufficient for me to recover $X, I won't be stupid enough to invest more dollars. It's as easy as that. In my case, I won't starve. The day job is what pays the freight anyway. It's just that there would be one less producer making the content that you all enjoy. So, yes I hate pirates... but you should too, because they are the ones who are preventing producers from gambling on putting big bucks into their productions. By the way, thanks to all who email or pm me with pirate sites that they have run across. I appreciate your cooperation in helping me to nuke these brain dead idiots from the face of cyberspace.
