D’Arcy arrives home from a date, wearing her jewels, but is accosted by a thief who has broken in to steal her valuables. He decides to take the jewellery that she is wearing, and she hands them over; however, he is not satisfied with the jewellery alone. He slaps her to the bed and strangles her into unconsciousness. Not sure what else he has in mind for her, because D’Arcy regains consciousness, reaches under her pillow, and pulls out a handgun. Before she can fire though, he disarms her and turns the gun on her. She pleads for mercy, but he shoots her in the belly as well as the breast, and flees. D’Arcy writhes on the bed in pain, but eventually dies from her wounds.
