This is Episode 440 of this long-running German TV anthology series that follows German police murder investigations. In this episode, an American model is murdered in her hotel room in Ludwigshaven, stabbed several times. Her husband Tom Soengen, a German actor with a promising career in Hollywood, has been supposedly far away. A Dutch photographer, with whom she has been having an affair, has taken photographs of her dead body. Did he commit the murder? The longer scene shows the husband making love to a blonde while his model wife is being attacked and killed. Great juxtaposition of sex and violence. The shorter version featured here is the murder only. During the murder, the killer places a pillow over the victim’s face, but this is not a smothering. She definitely dies of multiple stab wounds.
